@Missy_Star: That is so pretty! I personally don’t really mind the taste of fondant and most of the cake designs I’ve been drawn to require it but Mr. CoCo will hear none of it, lol! He has asked for so little throughout this process, so I am doing my best to honor all of his requests. We may even end up getting a faux designer cake made and sheet cakein’ it up in the back room!

Engagement Length: At this point, 6 months. When we get married it will be 1 year and 17 days.

Relationship Length: We have been together 3 years and 4 months. It will be 2 months shy of 4 years when we get married.

Colors: Black, DARK red, silver, and white.

Theme: Masquerade ball

Wedding Party(#s): 7 Bridesmaid or Best Man & Groomsmen, 2 Flower Girl, 1 junior Bridesmaid or Best Man, 1 jr Groomsmen, 1 Flower Girl escort.

Ceremony (where, time): The Chapel at Canterbury Village, 3:30 pm

Reception (where, time):  Same place, immediately following

Dress Style: This, but with black ribbon

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Pro hair and make up.

Honeymoon Location: Undecided at this point, probably Orlando!

Flowers: Black Magic roses and Black Baccarra roses.

First Dance Song: Slow Dance by Framing Hanley

Centerpieces: NO flowers. One Tall-ish goblet shaped candle holder (dark red and black), surrounded by 4-5 red tea-lights and some blingy things all on a mirror.

Food/Menu: We are having a buffet with chicken, beef, and pasta.

Cake Flavour: Chocolate, Butter cake, red velvet, and sour cream & vanilla bean.

Favours: Masquerade mask & bag of candy.

DJ/Band/Ipod: DJ

Bachelorette (when/what): Shooting guns (specifically, FH’s AR 223..) at the gun range all dressed up in heels and LBDs, then going out to party!

Flowers: All white flowers – garden roses and ranunculus, some white feathers!

Centerpieces: All mercury glass – gold and silver – some candelabras with white flowers, some tall vases and the low centerpieces are vases with lots of candles

 

Food/Menu: Cocktail Hour – passed appetizers and some statons, Main meal is soup/salad starter, plated dual plate of steak and salmon with potatoes and some type of veggie

 

Cake Flavour: Alternating layers of Cream Cheese Nirvana (white cake with cheesecake and fresh raspberry filling) and Tuxedo (white cake, chocolate cake with fudge filling)

 

Favours: Candy Bar and late night dessert table with macaroons, petit fours

Centerpieces: glass vases with punches of fall flowers and tea candles on beveled mirrors

Colors: blush, nude and grey

 

Theme: Rustic

 

Wedding Party(#s): 11 on each side!  Yikes!

 

Ceremony (where, time): San Francisco Plantation outside, 6PM

 

Reception (where, time):  Same place but in the Sugar Mill Pavilion (big barn!) rigth after.

 

Dress Style: Went with a dress that I never thought I’d pick for myself… it’s sweetheart top lace, with tierred tulle ballgown and a big whimsical grey bow sash!

 

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Pro hair and make up.

 

Honeymoon Location: Moorea, Tahiti in those overwater bungalows!  So excited!

 

Flowers: I am actually really allergic to flowers… but hopefully my florist can find these abstile flowers that have no pollen for us to use.  If not then a lot of baby’s breath and some cabbage roses and flowers with the least amount of pollen 🙂

 

First Dance Song: Undecided

 

Centerpieces: 1.  Eifle tower vases with abstile in them.  2.  Three julian silver cups with small arrangements places on hardback novels.

 

Food/Menu: We are doing cocktail hour with 5 passed apps (vietnamese eggrolls, boudin balls, oyster shooters, tuna ceviche, and something else I can’t remember.)  Then dinner is served family style with servers bringing and clearing as they go through the entrees… Salad is a honey walnut strawberry vinagrette salad, duck andoille sausage gumbo.  Entrees are:  Chicken and sausage pastalaya, beef tenderloins with a demi gloss, crabmeat augratin, sides are jasmine rice and steamed seasoned vegies….  wow that sounds like a lot!

 

Cake Flavour: We haven’t had our cake tasting yet.

 

Favours: Mason Jar Mugs that will double up as our seating chart.  Guests will get their favors during cocktail hour that tells them what table they are sitting at.

 

DJ/Band/Ipod: DJ

 

Bachelorette (when/what): End of August.  Vegas baby!! 🙂

Dress Style: A-line  davids bridal

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): My maids are good at hair/makeup. So hopefully them! may hire a pro tho. undecided.

Honeymoon Location: Not taking one

Flowers: Will know in about a week!

First Dance Song: Areosmith i dont wanna miss a thing

Centerpieces: Just using what they ahve at venue, Its a vase with candle inside. Im not picky!

Food/Menu: Taste testing is in  may. we will know then 

Cake Flavour: Red velet, vanilla and strawberry.

Favours: Not doing one

DJ/Band/Ipod: DJ for reception, probally ipod for ceremony

Engagement Length: 5.5 months.

Relationship Length:7yrs 4mo by wedding.

Colors: teal, tangerine, gray

Theme: general theme: elegant, minimalistic, and highlight the natural beauty of the river and building modern and elegant

Wedding Party(#s): 2BMs, 2GMs, maybe ring-bearer (if he has his way, we’ll have 4 of each)

Ceremony (where, time): Roswell River Landing – GA, on the river dock, 6:30ish pm

Reception (where, time): Same, immediately after.

Dress Style: Picking that in a few days. A-line halter or cap sleeved, beaded detail on corset, full skirt with some tucks or tiers

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): DIY – I want a simple bun and almost no makeup.

Honeymoon Location: Hamburg, Germany

Flowers: None if I can help it – he wants an orange rose as a boutonnière though, so maybe a few :/

First Dance Song: None, but classic 50s for most of the night, then 80s and 90s at the after-party the next day.

Centerpieces: Big vases filled with blue water beads,an LED light on the bottom and a candle on the top to light it through. – this is what I’m pushing for, but giant willow branches instead of flowers, and no mirrors on the bottom

Food/Menu: buffet style – lots of vegetarian options, finger foods, fancy and fun sliders, and a sundae bar

Cake Flavour: We’ll do a bunch of flavored cupcakes, and a small couple’s cake for cutting tradition. Probably chocolate for him, but neither of us enjoy cake… we’re having a sundae bar though, and a short-cake station

Favours: beer koozies (in gift bags, not just lying around) and some other little fun things

DJ/Band/Ipod: IPod – we have an amazing sound system and music collection – we used to DJ J

Bachelorette (when/what): I made a rule that I will NOT wear anything with penises. I’m not a drinker either, so bar-hopping is most likely out. They’ll handle it, and I’m not too worried about it.

Flowers: I don’t remember. The florist was throwing out names with pics and I just went with what I liked!
