Hey, ladies! I was wondering where all of the other October 2015 brides were in the planning process! I am starting grad school in the fall and was anxious to get as much done as possible. Fiance and I have:
- set our date (October 24, 2015)
- booked our venue
- I bought my dress (Allure 2701)
- booked our caterer
- booked our cake/cupcakes (we are using a friend)
- and booked our photographer
Next on the list is: videographer, DJ, and photo booth! We have also started collecting the teapots, vintage books, mismatched china, and parasols for the reception. I also just started tackling making the brooch stems for mine and my eight bridesmaids’ brooch bouquets. We are having what I am loosely calling a “whimsical tea party” wedding.
So, October 2015 ladies, share your planning details and progress

MrsMeowton: I got so excited when I saw this post! I LOVE your theme!
So far we’ve done the following;
Set the Date
Booked the venue
Booked the photographer & Videographer
Booked our DJ
Booked our wedding car & wedding party’s transportation
Purchases my dress (I’m an Allure bride too!)
Purchased part of our centerpieces ( we’re having lanterna and votive candles but haven’t purchased the candles yet)
October 2015 will be here before we know! Good luck with grad school! 🙂

MrsMeowton: Yay, date twin!
You both have been so productive! It feels good to get those big things out of the way when there are still vendors to choose from. So far, we have:
-Set the date (10/24/2015)
-Book the venue, which is also the ceremony space and caterer
-Booked a photographer
Right now we’re talking to DJs, videographers and an officiant.
Excited to see where other fall 2015 brides are with their planning!

- Wedding: September 2015 - Beach
I bought a cake topper!
I know I’m kind of working backwards as I should probably have a cake before I decide what to top it with, but I love the topper so much, I think I’ll just work around it.
That’s it so far. The FH and I need to save some $$$ and will probably look at venues this summer, but right now we’re just enjoying our time.

- Wedding: October 2015 - Glenskirlie Castle
We have set the date- 30th October (day after h2b birthday and the day before mine =) )
Booked the venue- Glenskirlie Castle
Booked the photographer
Booked the photobooth- wedding present from my sister (and maid of honor)
Next on the list is colours. My pintrest board seems to be showing lots of purples and greys so I think it will be easier than I imagine to chose.
We are buying our first house together in a few month, currently living in h2bs flat, so we wanted to get the bigger things out the way first before we have a meltdown trying to organise both at the same time =)
I look forward to see how we all get on as the big day draws closer =)

Wow, I feel behind the ball! We got engaged 2 weeks ago and booked the venue. We are looking at photographers and caterers, but haven’t really done anything else. Eeek.

We have been engaged since last October so we’ve done quite a bit already…
-booked the date- October 3rd, 2015
-booked the venues- same place for both ceremony and reception
-booked the photographer
-bought THE dress!!!!
We also already have our wedding bands (mine was a set, and Fiance wanted a very particular ring), our centerpieces (MrsMeowton: I’m also using some vintage books!), and I have two pairs of shoes already……
We just started looking at DJs and have decided on the colors/feel/theme of our wedding. I wanted to plan early so I wasn’t overwhelmed with making a bunch of decisions all at once.

Ok, I’m a November 7th, 2015 bride but I wanna play! Lol
We’ve booked our venue for both ceremony and reception. It’s mostly inclusive so it takes care of booking: the DJ, florist, wedding coordinator, photobooth, and caterer.
We have appointments with photographers this week, looking for videographers.
We’ve ordered our bridal party gifts to ask them to officially be in the wedding.
I’ve picked out the bridesmaids dresses.
Our engagement party (that my grandma wanted to throw for us) is next Satuday.
I have my shoes and veil. I also have a dress but not 100% sure I’m going to keep it. I’ll at least get it majorly altered (damn that dress regret…).
We’ve picked out our wedding bands.
Our wedding colors/theme is set. We’re going for a woodsy/romantic/fun theme and our colors are green, brown, and ivory.
We’re also starting to slowly DIY and order certain things from Etsy so that we don’t have to pay for all the little things at once.
I’m so exciteeeeeedddd! I know they say time will fly by but I just want Fall 2015 to be here already lol.

Picked a date and colors
Booked the church
Booked the Pre Cana and NFP courses (blech)
Booked the officiant
Booked the reception venue
Booked a photographer
Booked a photo booth
Booked the DJ
Picked our wedding party
Next on the list is probably our engagement photos and dress shopping, I guess.

missfenn: FutureMrsJohnson_: Oh man, I am SO glad other people have their dresses already haha. I got mine over Memorial Day Weekend because I stopped at a sample sale, but I felt a little crazy! Dress regret is totally a real thing though. I get to put it back on in a couple weeks to pick out a veil, so that will help. But I believe the crappy store lights really contribute to the regret.

I thought I was doing pretty well, but after reading some of these posts DANG! So far we have:
The venue nailed down between 2 places (leaning towards one though)
we have our wedding party decided
I have my wedding band, not his yet
and I’m starting to collect mismatched china for the reception.
I guess I need to get down to business!

I feel so unprepared! My date is October 10, 2015. So far we have:
Venue (ceremony and reception are taking place at the same place)
I am starting to shop for photographers.
My side of wedding party decided.
Time to get to work I guess!
