beegirl1989 :  So far we just have our ceremony, reception, photographer, and florist. A lot of stuff is included with the reception venue but we haven’t decided a menu or linens or anything like that. Working on the hotel block, dress, and cake next. Also haven’t purchased any decor items but did order some save the dates a couple weeks ago that just got here. I’ll be addressing those and sending them out sometime in Feb.

We have the ceremony sorted, the venue booked, I have my dress and all the accessories bought (but not altered yet), I also have my bridesmaids.

We still need a band and a photographer (although we are only waiting for another guy to get back to us and then we’ll compare prices and decide between two). We have someone who wants to do the invitations for us, but haven’t decided on a date yet. FH’s mother is doing the cake, we have an idea what wedding bands we’d like, we just need to find and buy them (shouldn’t be too hard though). FH has to buy his suit and officially ask all his groomsmen.

We have some of the decorations and I have ordered small bags for the favours. We still need some flower decoration for the ceremony hall.

All the paperwork we’ll have to do in June, when I’ve moved and have all my papers ready.

So, we’re mostly sorted, only small things and we know what we want for that. My biggest concern is getting the dress altered and all of that.

Wow you guys are so chill. I don’t have anyone to help me except my mother so started really early to make sure its all low stress as the day approaches.

I’ve done venue bookings, music, photo/video, florist, furniture, some decor, my dress and accessories, half the bridal party, run sheet for the day, limo, escort cards, started the favours, 60% of the honeymoon. Invites are on the way to send next month.

I’ve had a look facebook marketplace but its not helpful at all. Ebay was really great.

We have the venue, florist, photographer, DJ, makeup artist, and my dress. We also happened to buy our wedding bands since a local jeweler was going out of business and had some insane deals. Our church ceremony is also scheduled so we are in the process of pre-marriage counseling. I’m kind on a planning break though. I teach public school full time during the day and teach university classes in the evening, so I do most of my planning during my off time in the summer.

our venue does the catering and provides decoration and furniture and all that, so there is less to worry about.

We’ve booked our venue/reception area, our DJ, our photographer, our videographer, our photobooth, my makeup and hair, and are due to sign contracts soon with our chosen florist/decor company and caterer (we already know who we’re picking, we just need to iron out the details). I already bought my dress as well! Just waiting for it to come in πŸ™‚

We already have our Save the Dates, and plan on sending them this month. We’ll also be going bridesmaid dress shopping in about 2 weeks. Most of our details, I feel, are decided upon, it’s just a matter of locking everything into place. October still feels so far away!

I have my venue, florist, bakery, and dress. I am about to order my save the dates and send them out as soon as I get them. Our venue handles all the catering and such. So my biggest concern right now is booking a photographer and someone to do my makeup and hair. I recently moved overseas so I’ve had a lot on my plate overall, so choosing colors/a theme is taking longer than I hoped. I really wanted to have everything picked by now. I still have plenty of time I suppose.

We got engaged in November and I hit the ground running. Ceremony and reception are at the same venue so that is all booked and we already had our tasting. Booked photographer and DJ. A friend is officiating (we do need to get him ordained for the day though). My girls have been chosen and will try on bridesmaid dresses this Sunday. Half of his groomsmen are chosen he needs to ask 2 more. My hair and makeup is booked but need a second hairstylist for the bridesmaids. Started picking up things for decor and buying gifts for those in the wedding. My Dress is ordered and I’m almost done with buying my accessories. Woo…

taking our engagement pictures this week with three honking zits in my face πŸ™„ hopefully he can photoshop that out and we plan on using those for Save The Dates that we will be sending out in March.

We have our ceremony and reception venues booked, potographer, videographer, priest, makeup artist,  my reception dress (calling to price out alterations this week but will get that done closer to the date), cake, my reception jewellery and shoes (still a couple accessories to buy – clutch and faux fur stole), DJ, Decorator (choosing linenes this week but colours/theme, furniture and backdrop are set). Still need to look into flowers and buy vases for centerpieces (my mom is making them). Caterer is not set yet – that’s the big one we have left to book. Bartender is provided through the venue.

We were engaged in May and I feel like we have a lot decided already. Invitations will be printed later this month; we’re not doing save the dates but will get invitations out early for relatives who have a long way to travel. It’s going to be an intercultural wedding and there are more components to plan because of that.

  • Wedding: September 2018

Not October, but September 29th so pretty close πŸ™‚  We have all of the vendors booked (ceremony, reception, rentals, catering, photographer, videographer, dj, uplighting, florist, hair/makeup) except for the cake, which we are taste testing next week.  We already had our engagement photos done and are sending out save the dates within the next 2 weeks.  We got our hotel room blocks booked, dress bought and picked up, bridesmaid dresses done, and centerpieces finished.  The next thing we are working on is suites for the guys and ceremony decor.  I fee like a lot of the other stuff I can’t work on until the date gets closer.

My ceremony/reception venue takes care of food, cake, venue flowers, bartender, linens and tableware, and tables and chairs so I’ll just need to pick out what exactly I want when they are ready for me to do so. Also comes with a wedding director and day-of planner so they’ll let me know when decisions need to be made. I’m planning to use the same florist for my personal flowers so that should be fairly simple to add on. We’ve also picked our photographer. My dress and veil have been ordered.

Next on the list for me is picking a DJ, finding someone for makeup/hair, officially asking the bridesmaids/groomsmen, finding the officiant, gathering addresses so we can send save the dates. Then I’ll move on to other tasks.

We’re not doing favors, I don’t think we need a wedding block due to location, and I’m going to have the bridesmaids choose their own navy cocktail dress so those are things I’ve crossed off my worry list. We’re not doing engagement photos.

I’m toying with the idea of doing my own makeup and just hiring someone for hair but I’m still gathering quotes. Average so far is $450 for on-location makeup and hair and I’m just sort of shocked about the price but it is what it is. I think I’ll end up doing it but I need to sit with that price range for a few days and get over it.

I found a design on Etsy that I love for some of the reception signage/table numbers but haven’t bought anything yet. I don’t really feel like my venue (an historic house) needs a lot of decor but I guess I need a few things here and there so people know what’s going on? My venue has easels I can use for signage.

Haven’t picked invitations yet but probably going to get them from Minted since I like a lot of their designs.

So glad this thread was started. Really nice to see what others on a similar timeline are up to!
