My caterer just pushed our tasting to Aug 11 and we’re having our entre options on the RSVP insert cards. I will have final insert card details by Aug 12 and then we are thinking we’ll send out our invitations Aug 27th – the last Friday of the month. Our RSVP reust date is October 1st.
Can you please share your invitation send out dates and your RSVP request dates.
THANK YOU SO MUCH

Is that a typo? Your reply date is Sept 1st?
I don’t think that’s enough time at all for your guests – esp. if you are mailing out at the end of August!
We mailed invites 9 weeks out with a reply of 4 weeks out.

Our wedding is October 30th and we are sending invites August 20th (the 10 week mark) because ALL of my FI’s family is out of town and a lot are out of state (we sent save the dates, too). Our RSVP deadline is October 1st. We decided to send invites and set the RSVP deadline early so that we would have plenty of time to get the catering and rental stuff in order. Good luck!

@KIKI82: we have short B-list (which I hate having a b-list but we have a huge family and my dad has a lot of people he’s worked with he would like to invite) and every time we get a no we are sending a b-list invite. If you do it this way you have to prioritize your B-list.

@jackie-o: For the record I don’t think August 27th is too late. 6-10 weeks is a good rule of thumb.

I also think Aug 27th is not too late; It’s around the same time I’m sending mine. I don’t want the guest to hold on to it too long and foget about it.
@shaydenise-thanks! Good idea

we are dropping ours into the mail in the next two weeks. our rsvp date is Sept 17. I have a few people on a b-list that I would like to invite if I can, so I’ll be watching to see how diligent people are getting back to us.
