I have a few things to do but not much thank goodness…we have 4 weddings between today and the big day, two of which I’m part of, so it’s insane right now.

  • looking for a piece to finish making my necklace
  • Torn between two first dance songs – we don’t have “a song” so I picked a few, and Fiance refuses to pick of the two he likes.  Sigh.
  • Follow up on a returned invitation – where the heck did these people move to??
  • Go about my cake
  • Meet with the ceremony musicians
  • Finish writing our ceremony with our Justice of the Peace
  • Find gifts for the guys and my bridesman, the girls are already done.
  • Fiance needs to figure out if and what he wants to give his parents
  • Book a restaurant for the rehearsal
  • Take my girls for alterations which won’t be until the 1st week of October (my sister is due to give birth soon and my niece is still growing)
  • Take the flower girl out to get her dress, oh and figure out what to buy for her as a thank you
  • Fiance needs to pick a song to dance with his mom (can you tell he likes to procrastinate while giving me a heart attack with stress?)
  • Pick locations to take photos

omg never ending.

Is anyone else starting to get real nervous? I’m not nervous about marrying my fiance, just nervous about the wedding. I want it to all go smoothly but there are so many little things to take care of and they’re currently overwhelming me. Ugh!

Definitely starting to get nervous! I keep having weird dreams about the wedding. My dress isn’t getting here until late September and I had a dream that after the alterations were made, the dress ended up being above-ankle length.  I’m having lots of similar dreams about things going wrong!

Hergreenapples – so funny that we all have these dreams.  All part of the process I guess!

I’m getting butterflies every time I think about how close it is!! Eek!

I still have to finish;

– assembling paper flowers for escort cards

– finish programs

– finish table cards

– assembling centrepieces

– filling favour jars

– tying ribbons/labels on favour jars

and so. much. more.  But tbh, i’m still enjoying it all!  I work best under pressure anyway 😀

…. EEEEE!!!

I’ve knocked a few things off my list..

  • looking for a piece to finish making my necklace

  • Torn between two first dance songs – we don’t have “a song” so I picked a few, and Fiance refuses to pick of the two he likes.  Sigh.
  • Follow up on a returned invitation – where the heck did these people move to??
  • Go about my cake – Tomorrow
  • Pick locations to take photos – Tomorrow

YAY!! PROGRESS!!  I can feel the stress slowly leaving me. I also ditched programs and menus.  I just can’t be bothered at this point!

We’ve gotten half of our RSVPs back, 2 more weeks to go until I begin harrassing people.

All I want right now is for my dress to come in, I think that’s why I’ve been so bummed lately and have been pushing other projects off.

Oh dear I am starting to freak out too.

Here is my list.  Let’s keep the countdown going.

– Get florist to call me back and figure out what our flowers are going to be for the centerpieces

– Pick bible versus for the ceremony (we aren’t bible people so this is harder than we thought)

-tell ceremony muscian what we want for songs

-Get song list ready for DJ

-Figure out lighting for venue (check out my freaking out post about this I put up today)

-Find new screen printer for our Out of Town bags as ours went AWOL

– Find wedding jewelry, decide on hairstyle, rehersal dinner outfit, decide if I like my veil, print all paper stuff for the day

– Order grooms gift and have engraved

-engrave rings

– Figure out mother/groom dance song.. (any ideas anyone?)

Luckily this is a huge list but I feel that alot can be tackled in a relatively short period of time if we sit down and get decisive.  Now there are few things I think will take a bit more time

-Writing up welcome letter for Out of Town bags

-Writing up timeline for the day of

-decide on gifts for parents (anyone have suggestions)

-who is doing speeches and when

Hey Ladies!! new to this forum but I am glad I found it!! I cannot believe we are 39 days until the big day!!!

So many things to do still! Tonight we are going to have our cake tasting and get that all setup, so another thing will be crossed off the list!

On Thursday I am going to the seamstress to get everything finalized there as well.

I haven’t made a final list of things that I need to do, but I will get to it!!!
