@figgnewton:  Oh my goodness about the muscle!  That’s crazy!  I’m glad your dr didn’t seem too concerned.  Try to put your mind at ease until you get the blood results.  I’m sure there is nothing to worry about since the dr isn’t concerned!

@ExcitedScaredBee:  I noticed that too! LOL That’s why I’ve been wearing long tanks + belly bands underneath the top with the shorter front hem. It actually looks okay (assuming you pick a complementary color) and intentional.

@bunnymama:  I’ve embraced my inner sloth and then some. It’s been great! Popsicles for breakfast? Sure, why not. Afternoon nap at 3 on Saturday? I’m in! DH is actually shocked because I normally LOVE to shop and now I actually turn down shopping of any variety because I’m just too tired. He’s the one encouraging me to go maternity shopping.

I start off the day feeling fine, feeling great even, and by the end of the work day I just feel like absolute crap.  So tired of this!  How do you ladies keep your energy up during the day?

@Miss Grey:  Ha! Love this story! And how fun that you and your BFF are pregnant at the same time!

@abbylyn:  I legit close the door to my office and take a nap. /shrug. Better than sitting there like a zombie all day!

@crazydogmom:  I’m still trying to get used to the snoogle.  So far it’s super comfortable, but I’m just having trouble falling asleep because I’m not used to sleeping on my side.  It really is huge though!

@crazydogmom:  that is the Doppler I bought, and I ordered different one. Here’s the one that I ordered, it’s only $20 more and much better quality.

http://shop.mobileweb.ebay.com/searchresults?cmd=SREF&kw=sonoline+b+fetal+doppler

i wasn’t going to order one at first, thinking that it would only worry me more, but its totally worth it. You just can’t get frustrated if you can’t find it. The Angelsounds one is pretty cheap, and I can’t hear anything after I eat! Also, I’m am RN so I’ve actually had to search for babies before with the Doppler, so I know how and also know it can sometimes be a bit tricky. i totally dont think that it’s too difficult for the average non-medical person though. If it gives you peace of mind then I think it’s worth it!

I had my second appointment with my midwife today, and the baby looks great! We got to see it on the ultrasound and I just can’t believe how big it is now! She’s moving all around and has the cutest little profile! It actually looks like a baby now! At my next appt we will find out the sex hopefully! SO crazy! I’m on my iPhone or I’d post a pic. I also confirmed my kidney infection and they said I might be developing kidney stones! Ahhhh! So scary!

Have you all had your second appointments?

I forgot to put on my wedding ring today. For some reason, I feel very self-conscious, like everyone is judging me for being unmarried and knocked up. Nevermind that 1) I’m at work where everyone knows I’m married and 2) I don’t even look pregnant to people who don’t already know the news.

What the hell is wrong with me?

Well, I’m working on our midwife selection process this morning. Turns out there are 6 homebirth midwives who practice within an hour of our house! Crazy! I had no idea there would be that many; I was expecting 2, TOPS!

So looks like our selection process is going to take a while. I’m going to start calling and talking to them and hopefully making consultation appointments with 2 or 3 that I like the best for next week.

We’ll see how it goes. Feeling a bit overwhelmed here this morning. 🙂

@MissKemo:  Oh no on the kidney stones…hope that doesn’t happen and you can kick the infection quickly. Hope you feel better soon!!

@ExcitedScaredBee: That’s funny. 🙂 Don’t worry, I rarely notice wedding rings unless I’m really up close with someone, so unless you’re one on one with others all day long for your job, I doubt many people will notice you’re not wearing a ring!

@ExcitedScaredBee:  Ugh. I would not want to go out without mine. Tomorrow you’ll remember.

I’m 23 but I look younger (I got carded going into an 18A movie in December) so I’m nervous that when I start showing people will think I’m a teen mom. I used to leave my rings at home most days, but I’ve started wearing them all the time now.

Also, weirdest pregnancy “thing”. I don’t even want to call it a craving. I’ve dreamed the last 3 nights in a row about smoking cigarettes. I’ve never even smoked a cigarette in my life. The smell alone turns my stomach (or did, before I was KU). I’ve smoked a few cigars in the past, but I know it’s not the same. I usually tell DH my weird pregnancy dreams, but I couldn’t bring myself to tell him about these ones. Yuck. :/

So it looks like more and more people are starting to suspect I am pregnant and the cat will be out of the bag shortly.  I think part of it is that we found out super early (not knowing it was so early because I wasn’t sure when I ovulated) so I thought I would be 12 weeks at the end of this week but really I will just be hitting 11 on easter.  I shut down my facebook wall because I want to tell my family but not be outed to the rest of my friends who I had planned on telling after my 4/10 appt (which seems an eternity away now).

Still feeling eh, although someone brought in some delicious donuts today so that helped! I have also taken to showering at night because a) I don’t want to wake up in the morning and b) I just don’t feel good when I do wake up.

Hope all of you lovely ladies are having a good day!
