Question, are any of you 35+? I’m 35.5 (lol those half years start to matter) and I’m wondering if I should ask for anything extra and specific at the first OB appointment. Like testing my progesterone levels in the pregnancy blood test, so that if I do have a miscarriage (🀞🏼 please no 🀞🏼) we could know if my levels were too low, for next time.

I told my SO last night – he was so confused, lol. “Already?!” But super excited. We’re both previously divorced, no kids but have always wanted them, so it’s been a long time coming.

emeraldbee :  hugs, I’m sorry you’re stressing. Dilution is a powerful thing. I drink a lot of water in general and I was testing OPKs 3-4 times a day during my expected ovulation this cycle, and I never got a full positive…. but obviously I did ovulate! I’ll be thinking about you xoxox

KittyYogi :  thank you!! I’m not stressing as much as I was, but appreciate your thoughtfulness.

I’m 34.5, so not far from 35. I haven’t thought to ask the OB anything else to test. I figured if she had concerns, she’d let me know. I have a daughter from my previous marriage, she’ll be almost 9 by the time baby arrives. She’s an October birthday, too!

emeraldbee :  glad you’re feeling better! Yeah I guess I will just wait to see what my OB says.

I spent so much mental energy just thinking about how to get pregnant and assuming it would take forever, that now that it’s happened, I don’t know what to do next! I’ve been googling a bunch of variations of “what to do when find out pregnant” all day, lol. Make a doctor appointment, keep being healthy, keep taking prenatals…. that’s about as far as I’ve gotten 😜

MrsBuesleBee :  hi! Wooooohoo!!

I’ve only taken a couple Internet cheapies and no more FRERs since the first one, but I was so glad to see today’s test (48 hours later) darkened up a lot!

Anyone told their families yet? I’m really close with mine so I called my parents and my sister yesterday. I figure if I do have a Mc, I would want them to know anyway, and for now sharing the news with them was really special ❀️

Hi everyone! Joining the party. πŸ™‚ Apparently it’s a trend to get pregnant really fast with an Oct. baby?! Here’s my roll call!

Age/partner’s age: 27/30
Baby # 2
Cycles TTC 1 or 2? I had my IUD out last cycle, and I’m pretty sure I missed my window, so that would make it 1 cycle. But I wasn’t charting (we were just NTNP!), so I’m not sure!
BFP story I actually got a negative test this month at the time when I usually test, so I had written it off.  Lo and behold I tried again closer to when AF was due, just in case, and I was wrong!!
How many weeks / EDD? LMP was Dec. 27 so Oct 3?
Team Green or finding out the sex? I was team Green last time but I am leaning toward finding out this time. Still not sure!
When are you telling people? Any special plans in doing so? Hubby knows, but the rest of the world probably not until after the 12wk ultrasound. Maybe my parents and other close ones we’ll tell after the first appointment with a good heartbeat.

Are we going to do a secret Facebook group? Did this last time around with the girls on the Bee who were all due when my 1st baby was, and it was amazing. We still talk about our crazy toddlers, lol. If someone makes one, count me in!

krystalite :  I haven’t roll called yet because I haven’t even told my husband about the bfp (going to tell him tomorrow at 12dpo)! But I wanted to ask about your cramps as I’ve been getting them too. I’ve heard it’s normal but it’s making me a bit nervous! How many dpo are you?

marriedbliss :  congrats lady!  I’ve been having some dull cramps off and on too.  I’m 16 dpo today.  I googled the cramps and it sounds like it’s just your organs kind of shifting around and your uterus starting to stretch.  Unless it’s accompanied by bright red bleeding, it’s all good.

My other main symptom is just this constant bloating / pressure feeling in my stomach and uterus.  Kind of unpleasant, but of course I’m also happy to be feeling it πŸ™‚  Oh and I’m falling asleep on the couch at like 9-9:30 every night.

krystalite :  No rush! Just count me in whenever you make one! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

A few symptoms over here, nothing major. Super tired after like 9pm, a bit queasy mornings and evenings, and my Super Nose Powers have returned, haha. Just like last pregnancy I can smell things from rooms away!
