lotus11 :  That’s awesome you were able to stay in remission for so long! This class of disease is horrible. I wish science would figure out a cure already. I can’t imagine the rest of my life in this kind of pain.

What kind of meds are you on for it, if you don’t mind me asking? I was headed towards Humira before my BFP… now I’m not so sure what my course of action is.

The group is totally private. No one can see you join or anything. We tested it in our Nov 15 group when we all joined. You have to be invited by an admin and can’t even search for the group on fb. So trust me no worries as long as it is set to private.

So we’re not trying, and by not trying, I’m on the pill!  Period was due today and there is nothing in sight.  I’m not even feeling crampy, like I usually do.  I need to go home and test and join this group. (fingers crossed)  We weren’t planning on another, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it.  I wonder what the hubby will say about this one! surprised  I’m POAS tonight!

marriedbliss :  I hear ya! It constantly feels like I’m coming down with something, altough I’m pretty sure it is only pregnancy related! Definitely better than the flu.

For all of you ladies with food-related symptoms – is anyone else constantly starving? I have to carry bags of snacks with me at all times, and when I get hungry, it is like I need to get food in my stomach IMMEDIATELY. I can’t believe how aggressive my appetite is, considering I’m just 6 weeks! It is quite embarrassing to be eating at work all day long.

I’ve stayed off of this thread over the last few days in nervous anticipation of my first ultrasound this morning. Since I had a MMC in October my OB suggested I come in for a 6 week appointment just to check on things. I was so, so, so nervous because the last 3 ultrasounds I had back in the fall were all bad news.

The nugget is measuring 5+5 (not too far off from my 6 week estimate) and we heard the heartbeat laughing I’ve never been so relieved. Next appointment is 8.5 weeks so I’ll be walking on eggshells until then.

Wishing peace, happiness and sticky babies to all of you, especially those who will be trying next month.

whatwillbeewillbee :  I’m soooo hungry. I’m glad I’m not the only one. I found eating every hour something small helps. I bring crackers and little oranges to work so I don’t want to kill someone lol

A little late to this party, but am new around here!

Age/partner’s age: 31/36

Baby #: 1

Cycles TTC: Got lucky on cycle #2!

BFP story: Got a faint positive on 10 dpo, then tested again…and again… for a few days until I fully believed it

How many weeks / EDD?: October 10 based on LMP

Team Green or finding out the sex?: Finding out for sure! I couldn’t NOT know if the information was out there somewhere lol

When are you telling people? Any special plans in doing so?: We both told our moms already…oh and I told my hairdresser since I was asking her about what kinds of chemicals were in the hair color she uses…and a waiter at dinner the other night because why not? We will probably wait until the first Dr. appointment next week before telling close friends and family, assuming it goes well. We’ve only been married a few months so I’m a little nervous about breaking the news.

Congratulations everyone!

whatwillbeewillbee :  this is such great news!! I had a MMC in December so I’m walking on egg shells the next two weeks. It’s really hard to try and distract from the anxiety. Hopefully you can breathe a bit easier now 🙂

whatwillbeewillbee :  I’m the opposite!  I’m not hungry at all!  I can feel my stomach grumble sometimes, but food does not really sound good.  So far, I am able to eat but I don’t want to

sophie89 :  thank you!! I hope you have similar good news. Will 2 weeks be your 8 week ultrasound? It is hard to be cautiously optimistic after any kind of loss. We’ll both need to just hang in there and hope for the best.

whatwillbeewillbee :  That’s so awesome that you had a great first OB visit! What a relief that must have been! My OB also scheduled a 6 week visit for extra reassurance after my miscarriage- it’s on Wed. I had brown spotting for 5 days last week. I was feeling really anxious and was pretty sure I was going to miscarry again. But then yesterday it just stopped. And the nausea has arrived in full force, which never happened with the miscarriage. So I’m cautiously hopeful about the appointment. Praying I get to see a heartbeat too!

I don’t know if this is taboo or not but is anyone struggling with ambivalent feelings towards being pregnant? I’m thankful I’m pregnant but I’ve never been one of those girls who gets “baby fever”. I like babies well enough but the thought of having one of my own is suddenly terrifying me! Maybe it’s because I’m feeling ill right now but I’m also worried about how pregnancy is going to change my body and I have no control over it. It’s probably compounded by the fact that my husband and I are looking at buying a fixer-upper in a small village (we live in a big city right now) and once we move and I leave my job, it’ll be just me and the baby, and I’m soooo not a baby person. I think it suddenly hit me and I’m feeling a bit down and anxious today.

I should also add, none of my friends have babies right now and my family lives overseas so not much physical support there either. Maybe we’ll feel different when we start telling people about the pregnancy?

Has anyone else had less than positive feelings?
