I feel like I should be writing out addresses on our invitations but I haven’t. It’s not that I don’t have the addresses or anything…I have them. I have our invites. It’s all good to go — we’re not being super fussy w/how we’re addressing them either. I’m handwriting them out in my regular handwriting more than likely. It will be easy but I just haven’t done it.
Our invites are going out the last week of July so they’ll arive at the beginning of August. Our guests will have one month (or a little more) to RSVP to our wedding. They’re due back by September 7th. Sounds like groomy will be out of the country again on another business trip so this is all me. We don’t have THAT many to write out (no return addressing either, I paid extra for that shiz to be done).
I dunno why I haven’t at least started.
With that said I did price candles for our centerpieces online and in the store today. Looks like Ikea may be the cheapest place to get them. I may even get tealights to add to our centerpieces (they’re super cheap at Ikea). Anyone have any other suggestions as to where to get cheap candles? 🙂
What’s an easy thing that you girls could have done by now/could easily being doing that you haven’t started yet?

Date Twin! I too am behind on the invites. I have them, but they are just sitting there. I think I just needed a few weeks off. We are starting them tonight! But, we’ve been saying that for three weeks.
I got the glass tealight/votive holders at Ikea. They were super cheap. They came in packages of four and each glass holder was seperated by a cardboard ring (3 rings in each pack). I am making napkin rings out of those. Thirty down only 70 more to go. So, yes…. I’m a slacker. There are about 5 other projects I haven’t even started. I just keep hearing “you have time” but that is rapidly becoming a false statement.

@WreckerBabe: Oh yay!! DATE TWIN! I feel better knowing I’m not the only October 7th bride that hasn’t started addressing invites. Are you sending yours out at the end of the month also?
Yeah, the IKEA candle holders look super cheap online. I wasn’t going to get any but then I saw how cheap they were and changed my mind. I haven’t seen them anywhere cheaper thus far. =) Woot!
Nice idea about the napkin rings! Thrifty! I like it. I wanna see pictures!
Yeah, the whole “you have time” thing is def becoming a flase statement. We need to finalize our menu, find a cake, buy wedding bands, address invites and send them out by the end of the month…etc. I thought all of this would be possible but my future hubby is going on another business trip. I feel weird finalizing the menu and picking a cake without him. Everyone is telling me I’ll just have to make it work but it kind of sucks butt. lol Oh, and I’m supposed to go talk to the florist sometime this month too. Hopefully next week I’ll go.
SO MUCH STUFF TO DO >_>;;;

Yep. I really need to get crackin’ on addressing my invites, looking into hair extensions, emailing the girl who’s making my bouquet, finishing my MOH’s strassed shoes, making sure Fiance and his Bridesmaid or Best Man get suits, making Out of Town bags… the list goes on.

@Aure: What type of bouquet are you going to have? 🙂

I think the only thing we’re slacking on right now (actually, more like Fiance is slacking.. I give him ideas and he says “yeah that sounds good” but doesn’t do anything about it!) are the groomsmen gifts. My invites are all done and about half have been sent out already. I’ll be giving out the invites to the coworkers by the end of this month. I’ve already been getting a decent stream of RSVPs from friends and family. I’ve got a ton done and right now I’m kind of just chilling out.

Another date twin here! We actually sent invites out a week ago, but by no means are we over achievers. A) I’m just antsy to know what we’re dealing attendance-wise and B) we’re doing everything online so it’s not as if I was slaving away with a calligraphy for weeks on end.
Things NOT done:
ordering cake/finalizing menu/wine list
playlist/sound system rental
excersing enough so my dress fits 🙂
getting officiant/writing ceremony/figuring out ceremony sound

OMG I have zero motivation. I’m getting ready to work on corner rounding the inserts for our invitations and then tomorrow night two of my bridesmaids are coming over to help me put them together. My step dad is addressing our envelopes because he’s a calligrapher so at least I don’t have to worry about that

Oct 27 bride here and I have not even gotten down to WRITE the darn invitation. You are ahead of me!
Oh wow. So I haven’t even looked for a wedding dress yet, invites aren’t ordered or selected, let alone addressed and sent out, and no wedding bands yet.
However we do have the Cakes, Church, Reception site and caterer, and flowers for church. Oh, and the photographer. Still need to do the engagment and bridal sessions for that…ugh. Only one attendant each, Maid of Honor and Best Man. It’s up to Maid/Matron of Honor to pick out the dress she wants (pending approval), of course she hasn’t done that yet.
Now I’m a bit worried…haven’t even touched any of the details!

I just wrote out my addresses the other night ….i have 75 guests and it took a hour. It was not bad actually but I like my own hand writing so I did them all myself. Mailing them 8/1! Good luck to you all in getting them done.

I’ve been pretty lazy lately.. LoL. I didn’t do anything wedding related for a few weeks. I still have to make our programs & menus, get his ring, and order the decorations for the gazebo. I FINALLY finished up our Out of Town bags tonight… I’ve been working on them for MONTHS, but they’re pretty amazing, if I do say so myself. I hope everyone enjoys them.
We’re still working on our ceremony wording & vows. I also haven’t picked my jewelry or my maids’ jewelry. *sigh* Always something to do… LoL! I plan to knock out a ton of stuff over the next couple of weeks & then maybe I can relax again for a bit.

I am so far behind. We ended up buying a house. We take possession next week. Its almost like I have completely neglected the wedding. uggh. and my diet. Need to get back on track.
@MrsTimmy: Congrats on the new home! I’d say that’s a legit excuse for falling a bit behind! :o) And yes, you just reminded me… My diet is also off track, ughh. Oh well… that’s what Monday is for, right? A brand new start, lol.

@Balboa: Ah! Crap! I forgot about his ring!
