I keep getting major wedding jelousy! Keep seeing things and thinking … oooh! I want that, and that, and that! It’s hard keeping it all perspecive somtimes!

In terms of planning- I’ve got the major things covered- but now its just a LOT of little things that need to be made! We’re doing lots of DIY (assisted by family and friends!) and theres lots of that to do, plus making some final descisions abotu how I want decorative details, which is so hard because I just keep seeing stuff I love!

I’m jealous!!! It sounds like you’ve got things under control! 🙂 That’s great!

I’m feeling slightly overwhelmed, but that’s because I’ve only been engaged for 6 weeks.

@romanticone5555: When you hit the 6 week mark, things will pick up again with final tastings, cake ordering, fittings. I remember our six week visit was hectic getting everything in order. After that, it really didn’t pick up again until two weeks before.

I am the exact opposite.  My head is spinning with all of the things we have to do. This month we need to start and complete our programs, complete our place cards, start and complete our menu cards for the rehearsal dinner and wedding, do our final menu and wine tasting with our venue, have Mr. LK’s bachelor weekend, have my bridal shower, order our custom handkerchiefs, choose and purchase our wedding party gifts, finish making all of our signs (“reserved”, guest book, etc.), make our favors, and so much more. My list is giving me nightmares (literally). There isn’t enough time!

Yeah, I know what you mean! I’m like- we’ve done all the stuff that we CAN do far in advance…and now all we can do is wait!

(we’re also doing our invitations this week-tonight! yay!)

I’m feeling a little rushed! Totally jealous of all you girls who are in a lull, or ahead of the game!

I wanted to have our invites out the last week of July, and are they? No. They are not. I’m planning on working my butt off tonight and getting them out tomorrow, latest, Wednesday. eeek!

I JUST talked to a flourist, as I JUST decided/added flowers for centerpieces. Which, I’m slowly regretting, but I’m too far in to back out now. It’ll look beautiful, but I never wanted flowers to begin with, and somehow I got them…

My Fiance still needs a suit, we need to buy our rings, one bridesmaid needs a dress and I have NO idea if any of the guys have their outfits because none of them keep me updated.

I’m a little stressed. But I’m MORE excited. It’s getting so close! Soooooooooooo close!

Today is our 2.5 month mark and I feel like I still have a lot to do, but it’s mostly stuff that needs to be done closer to the wedding!  I need to make some more lists to calm my nerves 🙂

I wouldn’t say in a lull but definitely not stressed.  There are a few things left to do…1/3 of the invites need to be finished being put together which I will probably get done today, we need to order bags for the candy buffet (but we know what we are ordering) and our photo guestbook (which is also completed), I have a bridal shower in two weeks, and we need to schedule meetings with our vendors this month before my grad program starts up again.  We recently decided to DIY a card box so I would like to get that done this month.  Just a steady stream of things to do but not overwhelming thank goodness!

I feel the opposite! I am starting to feel a little overwhelmed.  This week I have dress fitting, final appointment with the venue, counseling with the priest, meeting with the people doing the music at the church.  Yikes!!!

On the plus side, the last 2 weeks have been productive.  I finalized centerpieces and everything with the florist, we both ordered our wedding bands, Fiance ordered his tux and got his men all set up, and we mailed our invitations…so not too bad.

So far, things have been kinda low key. Now that my invitations are out, I can kick back for a little bit. My Fiance and his groomsmen are getting his tuxes next weekend. I do have to set up my 2nd consult with my florist to finalize everything, which is my bouquet and flowers for the church. I also have to touch base with the caterer at the end of this month to let them know what kind of alcohol we want. The balance for our honeymoon is due next week. Favors are also due to be shipped around the week of 8/22. I think when September hits, the pace is really going to pick up, but hopefully I can get it done ahead of time.

It feels AmAzInG to be done! Its been an extremely smooth and easy process, but Im still tired now. Its like I have done nothing but live and breathe weddings since we set our date early June! No more DIYs, invites sent, all vendors booked, dresses all in, alterations underway, there really is nothing left to do but wait! We have one tasting for our caterer in 2 weeks and then our cake tasting next month..and there she blow. Nothing left but send out a few checks..and…wait…and…wait. Can we get married now?? *sigh*

Oh but on a very exciting note, I hired someone just this morning to play the BAGPIPES for all of our ceremony music (from the guests being seated til we walk back down the aisle) and its a TOTAL surprise to FI!! He is Irish and we LOVE going to see Celtic bands etc..so this is going to blow his mind!  Yay ME!

I have  a lot of little things to do. Finally got invites out, so I am back to working on centerpieces in my spare time. Also, need to work on thank you notes as I decided to make them(crazy ambitious!) and stamping some things for my guest book. I also still need to figure out favors and many other little things that seem to come up all the time.
