We’re having a really rich, moist, textured carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

This is the design we’re going for! It’ll be a gradient from a bright, deep pink to a tangerine to a marigold yellow. The flower will be yellow on the inside and fade to pink!

We are doing Cupcakes! We will have a top tier cutting cake but then we are havin about 220 cupcakes!

Flavors will be: chocolate, vanilla, margarita cupcakes and flavors like amaretto, strawberry champagne, peanut butter cupcakes cannoli cupcakes, raspberry cream and maple bacon cupcakes…. Maple bacon is for my fiancé and one if my bridesmaids who LOVES bacon. I actually hate it lol.

Here’s ours! Not the greatest picture, I took it on my phone while browsing through the cake lady’s binder of prior work. We are getting a traditional 3-tier round french vanilla with custard filling! Going to decorate it similar to the one below with fresh flowers and an initial monogram. Not positive yet if I am doing the ribbon or not though.

We haven’t gone to our tasting yet, but here’s what we’re thinking of doing as far as the design (without as many flowers):

and our cake toppers:

I’m not a fan of fondant so it’s going to be buttercream all the way, but trying to choose flavors that will appease 100-125 guests with different degrees of food picky-ness and allergies is going to be challenging. This is why we went with food stations for our meal!

We may go with cupcakes because of this. 😉

We are doing a 2-tier “naked” cake for us..sitting on top of an old, rusted kitchen scale…and below we will have an assortment of mini cupcakes (4-5 flavors). I have also crafted a few rods on a piece of wood and will slide krispy kreme doughnuts on them. My goal is to do away with dessert plates and forks and only have napkins out, for grab and go sweets!

Chocolate Bavarian, Strawberry, and a third flavor I can’t remember but I must have liked it since I demolished the samples.

I am jealous of all of your cakes, mine is going to be so simple. Ha!

I do plan on having a cute cake topper though, one made from a shop on Etsy where it looks like us and we can keep.

I plan on doing a sheet cake to serve, and then a 2-tier one for cutting/cake topper. Something along the lines of this is fine by me (minus the topper):

Just got the news yesterday Disney will do Pumpkin cake with Dark Chocolate Mousse! YAY!!!! Pumpkin cake is a super big thing for me. I love spice cakes but I know many do not care for them or gingerbread. I felt pumpkin would be a winner with many since its fall.

It’s this, but without the flowers. We’re having Chocolate Mud Cake and White Chocolate and Raspberry mud cake. We’re having 100 coffee serves and our baker warned us there’d probably be left overs, and we said we’d be fine with that! We’ll just be eating nothing but cake til we leave for out honeymoon haha!

Our cake will be very similar to this, with 5 additional kitchen cakes for serving. The flavors we picked are Strawberries & Cream and Almond Zebra, which is a chocolate almond cake–soo good!

I’m going the cupcake route.  We’ll have 2 flavours: pink velvet with cream cheese frosting and pink sugar and pink lemonade with lemon buttercream.  The icing for both will be roses and the lemon will be both pink and yellow, like a sunset with pearls!  Our stand will be glitter with the layers alternating between black and black.

Our for us is on a high gloss black stand and will be cream cheese ombre frosting roses with the pink sugar, pearls and edible glitter.  Hard to describe but so fun.

The photos aren’t of the exact ones, but our pinks will match and the whites too.
