Right now nothing! I just finished a whole wack of DIY projects over the weekend. I think I’m gonna take a couple of days off, then go back into it. I have to get our cake topper done and start on the name cards for the reception. We are meeting the priest on the 11th for our final meeting before the rehearsal then on the 15th, I go for my first fitting/alterations, YAY!!!

@Olive12:  Awww Thanks! We originally wanted to by a topper, but then I started looking at the Fimo clay ones and thought, “hey if I can do people out of gumpaste for cakes, why not try it with actual clay?” Hopefully it will be as easy as playing with gumpaste lol You are lucky to have Fiance doing DIY projects, mine won’t even touch them.

Tonight we designed and printed the labels for our welcome bags and started on the welcome booklet. We’ve got our programs 75% designed and partly printed/cut. I also finished cutting our burlap table runners tonight! This week we want to finish designing/printing/cutting the programs and welcome booklets as well as the door hanger that goes in the welcome bag. We also want to finish buying anything that needs to be purchased, finish all of our signs, build our cornhole sets and ladder golf, and pay off some of our vendors.

@Rouquine:  That!

I never thought choosing music would be so hard!!

This past weekend I finished our card box, “Mr.” & “Mrs” signs for pictures and to hang on our chairs, and the finishing touches on my BMs personalized hangers. (will post pictures this week)

I still have to finalize the wedding music (only have 10 more days until it’s due to the DJ), table numbers, seating chart, and I’m sure there are tons more that I’m forgetting about right now.

Is it terrible that I’m going to say Invitations?  I’m not a procrastinator, there was just a mixup and I am just finishing them up, hopefully sending them out by Wednesday!!

Also, getting a basic idea of my ‘day of timeline,’ working on my jars for my milk and cookies bar.

Right now i’m working on finishing my thank you notes from my shower! I am trying to make them personal and heartfelt even though they are probably going to be in the trash a couple of days after recieving it (i’ll admit i do this too!). I completed about 20 cards, and need another 20 to go! My shower was August 25th so i MUST finish the rest tomorrow morning. “they” say thank you cards should go out within 2 weeks of the shower. Also, i finished ALMOST all of the wedding invitations. I started sending them out in batches.. first batch last week, second batch last wed., and last batch tomorrow. 7 weeks away from the big day!

Music (ceremony and reception) and day of timeline and photography list. I wrapped up most diy this weekend and packed up lots of linens and vases, so I’m fairly organized at this point. Really need to work on programs soon as well.

I just moved back home so we are really going to buckle down. Over the weekend we ordered the suits for the guys. We have a list for the week…Music playlists/ceremony music for the band to learn, meeting with travel agent to book honeymoon, DIY decor pieces, dress fitting, catch up on vendor emails. There are probably a ton more I should be doing this week, I just can’t think haha. It’s been a long day!

I should be working on something but I’m not.

OH, today I did do something! I told the florist we’re nixing the burlap bouquet wrap and going with what they have — simple/classic ivory ribbon.  It costs too much extra for such a small detail.  I haven’t yet found the right color and it’s not worth me pulling my hair out.  No big deal.  Whatever.  =P

So, that’s taken care of.  They’re going to call me to finalize things closer to the date 🙂

I gave them my bouqet brooch and a mason jar for size reference.  I want our bouquets to be able to fit into the jars so we can use them to decorate 🙂
