Where are my October brides at? Whats your to do list look like? I feel like I have so much to do, especially decor wise, and I just want to see if I’m freaking out for no reason…

We’re getting married Oct. 21! I’m definitely overwhelmed at this point haha this month we are:
-Meeting with our florist to finalize centerpieces and bouquets
-Having my first dress fitting
-Meeting with our day-of coordinator to finalize plans
-Doing our menu tasting
-Meeting with our priest
-Doing the final tuxedo fitting
Besides that we’re going to be working on the invitations, escort cards and menus, finalizing music for the reception, picking out passages for the ceremony, and scheduling my hair and makeup trials. And I still need to finish sending out my bridal shower thank you cards!

We’re getting married 10.7.17 and I feel like I’m ahead of the game right now but I’m not sure. I actually need to stop looking at Pinterest so I can stop changing or adding things.
I still need to finalized the ceremony with our Pastor, make the list of desired pics for the photographer, and finalize the music for the ceremony and reception.
Honey has finally started looking into his tux but I’ve already had my first fitting but I still need a hoop skirt and a better belt.
I’m starting on a rose petal aisle runner tonight and Honey is working on the arch for the ceremony and I need to find the items for our sand ceremony. I’m waiting on my manzanita trees to complete my centerpieces.
Another big thing is gifts for everyone! I have the majority of the gifts for my BM’s but I still need gifts for the moms and my dad.
Still trying to decide if we’re doing programs or not though.
So maybe I still have a lot to do but I have about 60 days! I’m sure you’ll be fine.

wathenwedding17 : I think you’ll be fine. You still have a full 2 months until your wedding arrives – that’s plenty of time to get everything completed.
Here’s what’s left on my to-do-list:
1. Mail out invitations & launch wedding website
2. Send final numbers to caterer and rental company
3. Order wedding cake
4. Order wedding flowers for DIY centerpieces
5. Book bridal hair appointment
6. Floral Arch DIY Project – commissioned my aunt to do this one
7. Sandalwood Fans DIY Project
8. Toasting Flutes DIY Project
9. Send final logistics document to all vendors – since I don’t have a DOC
10. Send final payments to all vendors
11. Get my marriage license, that’s fairly important. lol

10/14 bride here.
My RSVP’s have to come back (due 9/1) and then I have to make escort cards and build the seating chart. Aside from that, I need a final meeting with my Venue Lady/DJ/photographer, to get my gown steamed, and put the bridal party gifts together…. well those items plus get marriage license and decorate the venue. I was going for “get shit done and enjoy the countdown” because I have to travel for work conferences the weeks leading up to the wedding.

rockylcm : DATE TWINS!!! I am also getting married on 10/7/2017 and I feel like there is still a mountain left to do. My first dress fitting is Saturday, I have to buy all the candy and sweets for the dessert display, finalize the ceremony with the Pastor, choose pictures for our slide show, have another hair trial (I’ve been so unhappy with the first two) and that is about it. October is going to be great for all of us!

knotyet : great minds think alike! I’m excited for all of us October ladies to get things done and have beautiful days. I’m sure there are a lot of fall themes, so I’m excited to see weddings that stray from the fall leaves (aka my whole wedding 😂)

wathenwedding17 : Yes, the DIY projects can quickly start to overwhelm you – if you let them. My first strategy was to cut out as many DIY projects as possible, commission crafty family members for the others, and then complete my assignments ASAP.
I’ve completed A TON (thankfully), and my goal is to have nothing to do when the October 1 rolls around. We’ll see if that actually happens. lol

You’re not but I feel like I am :p October 7 here!
– First dress fitting tomorrow! I’m about 10 – 15 # heavier and hoping it’s not a disaster.
– Undergarments and shoes
– Bridesmaid/Groomsmen gifts
– Song selection
– DIY signage
– Decide if I REALLY want a videographer for the ceremony / speeches
– Honeymoon, if any! Seeing if any timeshare exchanges open up…
– Hounding people about RSVPS (waiting on about 140.. ugh)
– Figuring out alcohol (how much, what signature drinks)
– Figuring out appetizers
– Surprise bachelor party!
