My FH and I will be ttc right after the wedding. We have been together for eight years, bought a house 3 years ago, and have a puppy that we have had for 3 1/2 years. He is 34 and I am 29. I feel that we are very well prepared and ready for parenthood! I have started my prenatal vitamins. I can’t wait to start trying!

We’re waiting at least two years. I’m 29 and my fiance is 30. We own our home and we both have very good, stable jobs, but we’re in no hurry to have a child. We want to travel more and enjoy being newlyweds for awhile before we even consider a child.

No i feel like I would steal her thunder – she is PCOS and having trouble, she told me Sat night. I’m older than her but she’s been married for 3 years and saving like crazy to have kids.

Your options are 3 years post wedding, or “I don’t want kids”? Is it so inconceivable that people would want to wait longer?

My husband and I will probably be married at least 4 maybe 5 years before we start TTC

@MrsHoneyC: so true,I thought as the oldest I would have kids first but we will see as I can’t help what happens. I just want her to be happy for me getting married and I know it can be stressful TTC.

I’m older though at 31 now and 32 after we are married. Shes 29 this year and same age as my sister. My sister also told me that she and her partner are thinking of having a small family wedding next year too. So my Fi and I want to wait until his new job is a little more stable although he is showing great promise in the company and is currenlty on a deadline to finsh 20 homes by Friday. His site has 2 stages at the moment and 400 homes to be built in the next few years. It is a 1 hour and 45 minute commute to the north of Brisbane. So I’m more than happy to wait.

I think we’re aiming to wait around a year or two before we plan to start TTC.  =)  We want to get everything settled and such before we have kiddos!  Very excited to be a mommy though =) and I know he’ll make the best daddy ever!

We plan on waiting two years. We want to wait until my Fiance is done with medical school and his first year of residency. I can’t wait to be a mommy though.
