We are hoping to have a few months (3-6) to our selves but Fiance may end up joinging the Navy due to student loan debt (by Feb), so we may have to jump in a bit quicker.  Though I don’t really want to be “very” pregnant in the summer, so perhaps we will just give the IUD a pull on the wedding night and see what happens.

@shawndy:  Congrats!!!  =)  That’s so exciting even if it happened before you all were planning for it to.

switching to FAM/NFP after the wedding and not really trying at first but I’m sure baby fever will hit me at around 6mo’s after and if we get pregnant before that, I’m sure we won’t be too terribly upset.

I am almost finnished with at my schooling -even though we plan for me to be a stay home mom- I graduated early and jumped right into school so I’d have a back up plan. Fiance graduated early too but worked. So now we are pretty settled and his job is great but as soon as I start working full time and am finished with school I’ll work for 2 years or so for to get an even better job then we can hopefully get a home and children somewhere in there. I betdon’t mind renting with one child but by child no. 2 I hope to own.

Our plan is to be on birth control for 6 months , then decide if we want to start TTC or wait another 6 months. We dont want to wait too much longer than a year as I am already 27 and we both really want  family. However, we are waiting until the wedding night to consummate our relationship, and are both nervous we will end up getting pregnant on the honeymoon.

We decided to do the 5 year plan. I have a buttload of student loans and we would like to get them paid off as much as possible while still being decently young parents.

Immediately! Actually already been TTC because of medical problems not sure if we will have trouble. I am 24 and he is 31 so there is no rush besides our desire to have a family.

I think we’ll be trying within 6 months or so.  We are both in stable jobs, have been out of school for quite some time, and feel ready for the next step.  Although we do want to have some “us” time for a little bit, I think we’re also really chomping at the bit to have some little ones running around!  Time will tell though 🙂

We will be waiting between two and three years.  I’m only 23, I want to wait until I’m at least 25/26

Well, I’m not an October bride, but we are planning to TTC about 2 years after the wedding.

We want to pay off his truck ($6k), credit cards ($17k), fund our emergency fund ($10k), and replace my car ($10k) before we are ready to TTC.  We are 1/2 way there on the e-fund and will have the truck paid off this year, the other 2 will be completed in 2013– then mid 2014, I’m hoping we will be ready to TTC.

We will be waiting 2 years tops to start our family. I will be 28 next month, so I don’t want to wait too long but we also want to finish paying the bulk of our student loans and my car before we begin.

@MrsHoneyC:  I voted 1 year post wedding, based on the fact that we want to buy a house first. So we’re hoping that the same time this year we will be in a house, or TTC, or maybe pregnant already. I guess we will see how it plays out and how long the house hunt will take.

Well, let’s see. I voted “wedding night”!

I’m 34, Fiance is 33. I have a son and daughter from a previous marriage that my fiance ADORES them, however we cannot wait to have one together. We bought the house a year ago and since my daughter is 8 we don’t want to wait! We decided when we bought the house to spend half of what we could afford so that we could easily manage on just his income. We’re REALLY looking forward to having this baby! My fiance is SUCH a great stepdad and neither of us can wait to have a baby! I think he’s more excited than I am! ….Although all of my friends want us to wait until after December because we throw an Ugly Christmas Sweater party every year and it’s so popular – but I can have fun and not drink! I’m still going to have the party!
