Wow, lots of date twins here! I’m starting to send mine out this week/next week. Most of my guests are members from my church so we’re sending them out late(r).

I know how you feel. We invited 77, and don’t have room for more than 72 (9 tables) without a whole lot of rearranging of EVERYTHING. I know you’re probably laughing. “Five people? You’re worrying about THAT?” Because it’s a very small wedding, though, most people invited are really close to us, and will likely come. There’s very little wiggle room. I’m a bit terrified at the moment. Invites go out Monday.

So have people been finding that the no’s are slower to come in? Reading this has made me feel a little better, but I’m still anxious about our numbers. Our invites only went out a week ago. We invited about 320, but I’d really like to have around 250. Right now, I have:

Yes: 47

No: 2

Please tell me I can expect a flood of no’s closer to the deadline . . .

My RSVPs are coming back really slow… Sent 80 invites (about 180 guests invited) out 2 weeks ago and we’ve only gotten like 8 back, which were “yes”.

Just sent ours out Monday and we got our first back today! (They are coming to my mom’s house so I sadly don’t get to go to the mailbox everyday!)

170 invited hoping for like 130

YES 9

NO 0

YAY!

Mailed out invites on Aug 2.

Invited:  106

Yes: 20

No:   6

We expect at least 20 No’s since it’s a ‘destination’ wedding for most people. One No was friends of ours who we are shocked said No!  Eh, what will be will be.

Im 10-2-10 and we have not sent ours out yet. We are sending out next week. We sent out STDs though.

This thread is making me question if we are too late or not though!!

OMG, this thread is making me feel sooo much better.  I was flipping out because we had this big wave of responses in the 3 weeks following our send-out date (2nd week in July) and now we haven’t had a response in a week and a half.  Totally killing my wedding buzz.  Our RSVP deadline is September 1, so we still have a little over two weeks for responses to roll in.

Anyway, 123 invited.  So far, 53 yes and 16 no.  I need more no responses soon so we can squeeze everyone into our little art gallery reception!  Good luck to everyone!  I hope the magical response card fairy visits your mailboxes 🙂

Our deadline is August 31 (lots of rearranging to happen if we have more than 100 people, including type of meal, seats, etc.)… we decided to invite everyone we wanted to invite rather than restrict our list, because everyone kept telling us it’s normal that less than 70% will attend.  That way everyone we know and love knows they are known and loved 🙂

So we invited about 220 (the venue can literally only hold 200, and can only seat 100 for a full three course served meal… so if we have more than 100, we agreed we would have more finger-food type stuff with very informal seating)…. plus Fiance swore that many people he invited wouldn’t attend but he wanted them to know they were wanted there, etc.

As of today, we’re at:

90 yes

4 no

Eeeeek!!!!
