For my October 21st wedding, the RSVP date is September 10th.

I’ve been really bummed so far, less than half have actually RSVPed, and half of those have been “No’s”. All the no’s are my friends from back home. I made the time to be there for their big things, but apparently that doesn’t matter.

Fiance and I did a Pre-Final count today. We have 78 official “Yes”, I’m not counting the “No” … it’ll just make me sad. And if everyone says yes that we think will say yes, we will end up with 170-180 guests.

@raekae: I wish my ‘no’s would at least put the damn rsvp in the mail! I’m in the same boat though, a lot of my people from back home won’t travel.

Seriously. The RSVP date is today and we have half our guest list yet to reply. Is it so hard to write your name and the name of your guest on a line and drop a pre-addressed-and-stamped postcard in the mail?!?!? AAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!! We don’t even have people choosing what they’ll eat because its buffet! WTF.

Also, finally tracked down all our wedding party about RSVP’s… le sigh.

Date mailed: July 25(OOT)/August 15(Locals)/August 27(Locals – Parents’ friends)

RSVP date: September 16th

# Invites mailed: About 112 (240 people)

# RSVPs Attending: 84 people

# RSVPs Not Attending: 17 people

# RSVPs missing: 126 people

With 2 weeks to go to the deadline, I just sent out an email to RSVP stragglers reminding them of the RSVP date. The main problem will be my parent’s friends who I don’t have contact with but have instructed my parents’ to inform them that they need to RSVP or we won’t be reserving them a seat.

I’m starting to worry that people aren’t going to return the cards at all… They only have five days and mail doesn’t run on Labor Day! I almost wish we hadn’t spent the money on response cards :[
