@MrsWTD:  Cute!  I really like that!

We’re not going to have a cake at our wedding (gasp!) but we will do lots and lots of ice cream.  I still love cake toppers though!  I saw one recently that made it look like the bride had fallen into the cake, and the groom was helping her out.  We might try to incorporate one like that.  =)

Oh thats a cool cake topper – not done mine yet but prolly going to make my own from clay, paint and a bit of DIY.

Saw this the other day, don’t think I could quite replicate but my Fiance is a mechanic so it has given me inspiration! (And I’m always on the computer haha!)

Hi Bees,

1.  Show your cake topper!

I just got mine in the mail the other day.  I love it!

2.  Is it custom made?

Nope, I found it online πŸ™‚

3.  What made you choose it?

I was looking for something a little more fun than the traditional ones… and it sorta looks like us  πŸ˜›

4.  Was it something you’ve always wanted or just fell in love suddenly upon seeing it?

When I bought it I wasn’t even 100% sure we were having a cake.  But now that I have this I want a cake to put it on.

2. Is it custom made?
It will be. That’s not the exact one, just the stock photo from the etsy seller. We’re having ours made in white.

3. What made you choose it?
Anyone remember those old Honda Element commercials with Gil the crab? I like to peench. Maybe leetle peench? Before Fiance every had the guts to drop The L Word, he used to do this hand motion and say, “I peench” which was basically our ilu for a long time. We still say it all the time too. Our wedding doesn’t have a single hint of a beach theme lol, so this doesn’t go at all but I don’t care. Crabs are our thing, we even have salt and pepper shakers that we used in our engagement shoot.

4. Was it something you’ve always wanted or just fell in love suddenly upon seeing it?
We definitely knew we wanted to incorporate crabs in one small element, and this seemed to be the way to do it. I have looked at soooooo many different crab cake toppers.

lol if just imagining it made you smile, you have GOT to watch the real thing!

This was the original that I loved so much:

And then there was a second, which is hilarious:

I seriously am smiling like such an idiot right now over these clips lol.

And, more pertinent to the thread – before I found those little guys on etsy, we seriously considered using our S&P shakers:

Yes!

3.  What made you choose it?

Fiance and I call each other Pea as in 2 peas in a pod.

4.  Was it something you’ve always wanted or just fell in love suddenly upon seeing it?

The Etsy seller makes adorable animal cake toppers and I loved her style but had the 2 peas in a pod idea in mind and messaged her to see if she would make something custom for me. She said she was so excited about the idea she made it right away, the turnaround was 1 day! I should have it in my hands early next week!
