@SuperDuperBrit:  Yeah that is stressful :/ I know they sell tree slivers at craft stores which could be neat even without the stand part. That save on crafts one is actually the one we were going to buy but FI’s dad said he could just build it so he’s bringing it when they visit in a week or so!

@SuperDuperBrit:  We’re doing something similar, and I hope to be able to use an upside-down wooden crate to elevate the cake a little bit.  Just last night I spotted unfinished crates at Michael’s for under $12, depending on the size you want.  You could easily spray paint it or even stain it if you have the patience.  The less perfect it is, the more rustic and natural it’ll look too.  They also have the wood slices at Hobby Lobby and Michael’s as well, and coupons help with prices, especially if you’re only picking up a couple.

By The Way, why does everything have to be SOOO expensive??  Every day there is one expense or another, whether its paper, printing, gifts for bridal party, cake topper, decor… the list isn’t ending anytime soon!!!

@JennyPPB:  Yeah, my problem is I haven’t seen anything big enough.  It makes me kinda crazy.  Our cake bakery said our wedding cake will be on a 20 inch doily which makes me think that the cake essentially has a 20 inch base.  Our cake is three tiers and will feed 100 people even though we will have less people than that at the wedding more than likely.  =P  All of the bases I tend to like are smaller than 20 inches so we have to make something lol.  Which is all well and good except that groomy can’t really make us a cake stand when he’s out of state on business, lol.  =(

And I feel you on the costs.  Yesterday, I went to buy bubbles and they weren’t cheap and that was with a coupon.  I did manage to save like $10 on bubbles though which was nice.  I’m just tired of putting out money.  But, while I’m saying that I’m currently thinking theres a 20% off email offer from theknot that I should use to buy our printed napkins LMAO.  UGH

Honeymoon stat.  I want alone time with my soon to be husband now.

@SuperDuperBrit:  Oh shoot!  If I happen to spot anything that looks like it could be 20″ in diameter, I’ll let you know!  Its those little details that honestly begin to drive you insane (or at least just me).

Holy crap! I cannot believe it is next month! I feel like i still have so much to do! Programs and these bubble things for after the ceremony are my only DYI’s. I still have to do seating charts. Has any one finished theirs? My rsvp date is oct 5. I think i’m going to have someone do calligraphy for the place cards and menus. Anyone else doing calligraphy?
