Engagement Length: 10 months

Colors: Chocolate Brown, Aqua Blue, Mustard Yellow, with hints of a pale pink- cause I must have pink!

Theme: Arustic and vintage fall fair.

Wedding Party(#s): 2-MOH’s , 3 Bridesmaids, 1 Jr Bridesmaid, 2 flower girls. 1 Ring Bearer.. repeat on grooms side! 

Ceremony (where, time): Groom’s Family private campground overlooking their little lake/big pond

Reception (where, time): same

Dress Style: Vintage Inspired:  champagne vintage lace with a sweetheart necklace transistions into a tulle ankle length skirt.

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Both DIY.  simple makeup and loose curls in hair.  

Honeymoon Location: Cruise to Mexico

Flowers: Mixture of wild fall flower, gerber daisies, marigolds, etc..

First Dance Song: Not sure yet.

Centerpieces: Not having a sit down dinner but decorations will be a mixture of vintage jars, vases, tins, doors,windows, bunting, etc….

Food/Menu: We are self catering and sticking to a  Country Fair food theme:  Mini Burgers & Corn Dogs, Nacho Bar, Chili Bar, Chicken on a stick, funnel cake, cotton candy….

Cake Flavour: Cake Buffet with about a dozen different cakes but def butter with chocolate frosting, chocolate/chocolate, strawberry, caramel, white mocha….

Favours: Not sure yet

DJ/Band/Ipod: I pod

Shower (when/what): Around August I think!

Bachelorrete (when/what): Not sure yet, hopefully just a night out with close girl friends… I feel to old to do anything else!  ha!

Ceremony (where, time): 12noon, the venue’s garden gazebo overlooking the Denver skyline

Reception (where, time): 1pm, same location. Its a small country venue in the mountains of Golden CO

Dress Style: Alfred Angelo -taffeta, one shoulder with bling, sweetheart neckline, some ruching and form fitted around entire bodice down to mid thigh, then flare out with short train

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Hair (pro): lots of soft curls, pinned up, gorgeous fascinator and low tucked short veil  Makeup – DIY – my usual black smokey shadow eyes

Honeymoon Location: Alaskan Cruise

Flowers: Classic red roses

First Dance Song: Brad Paisley’s “We Danced”

Centerpieces: floating candle vases on mirrors, hunter green crystals scattered around

Food/Menu: buffet-style; varieties of beef and pork, veggies, potatoes, salads, breads, hot and cold h’or deurves (sp? – sorry, im too lazy to look it up lol)

Cake Flavour: 3 layers, one vanilla, one chocolate, and our anniversary layer is marbled..all with buttercream icing. There will be red roses with greenery, lots of scroll work, and some shamrocks lightly sprinkled around the base of the bottom layer

Favours: Irish bookmarks that are personalized, with a packet of shamrock seeds attached

DJ/Band/Ipod: DJ

Shower (when/what): TBD

Bachelorette (when/what): 2 weeks before the wedding, myself, my Maid/Matron of Honor, and a few close girlfriends will be hitting some clubs in downtown Denver, staying overnight in a hotel, having a yummy breakfast and spending the day getting pampered at the spa

Ceremony (where, time): Historic home, on the brick patio overlooking a pond, 6:30 PM

Reception (where, time): Same as ceremony, 7:00 PM (ish)

Dress Style: All-over lace with pearl and crystal accents, peek-a-boo lace train, fit-and-flare style, strapless sweetheart neckline

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Hair- Half up with lots of glamorous, old-Hollywood curls! not sure if going to go pro or not with hair and makeup 

Honeymoon Location: Playa Mujeres, Mexico

Flowers: Bridal bouquet- garden roses, hydrangea, ranunculus, succulents, hypericum berries, and grapevine. Flowers will be in shades of cream and peach. Bridesmaids- garden roses, hydrangea, plum dahlias, scabiosa pod, and succulents.

First Dance Song: Undecided 

Centerpieces: Manzanita branches with hanging votives and moss covered bases, with votives on the table around them. Some tables may do candles only with wrought iron candle holders.

Food/Menu: Cocktail reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres- crab cakes, pork tenderloin, cajun fried chicken, cold crab and shrimp spread, baked brie, jalapeño pimento cheese dip, fresh fruit display, fresh veggie display, and tea sandwiches. 

Cake Flavour: Almond amaretto with buttercream icing

Favours: none, late night snack instead! chocolate chip cookies and milk :]

DJ/Band/Ipod: iPod!

Shower (when/what): Not sure. 

Bachelorette (when/what): Probably late September, I’m hoping we can just have a chill night out with good food and good drinks!

Cake Flavour: I hate cake so this is FI’s job to choose πŸ™‚

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI):  Professional hair and makeup, hair curled worn down with some pulled up/back.

Honeymoon Location:  Bermuda cruise

Flowers:  Bridal bouquet:  ivories and whites, roses, hydrangeas, etc. Bridesmaids, orange lilies, roses, some purple something.

First Dance Song:  It’s Your Love by Tim McGraw 

Centerpieces:  Manzanita branches, purple artichokes, green moss, hanging amaranthus, orange dahlias, etc.

Food/Menu:  Elaborate cocktail hour including 50’s diner station, Mexican station, Italian station, lots of passed hors d’oeuvres, etc.  Three course sit down dinner including appetizer duet, entree of chicken, filet mignon, salmon or vegetarian.  Elaborate dessert hour, specifics undecided.

Cake Flavor:  Undecided.

Favors:  Donations in lieu of favors to our local animal shelter, animal/dog shaped/decorated cookies; Candy buffet

DJ/Band/Ipod:  Harp/flute for ceremony, 10-piece band for reception

Shower (when/what):  Probably two, one by my friends, a second by my Future Mother-In-Law for out of state relatives.  Date/specifics unknown at this time, but I’ll figure it out.  I’m too smart for surprises. ;o)

Bachelorrete (when/what):  Something low-key like a spa day with my best girls, dinner at a nice restaurant, ideally.  Date/specifics unknown at this time.

Wedding Party(#s): 1-MOH, 6-Bmaids, 1-BM, 6-GM’s, 1 flower girl, and 1 ring bearer

Ceremony (where, time): Church @ 2:00pm

Reception (where, time): Hall down the road @ 4:00pm

Dress Style: Satin, strapless with a sweetheart neckline, rouched at the bust and waist with a pickup skirt, cathedral length train

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Hair (pro): Curled, half up half down with a little poof (no snooki please). Makeup (pro): Airbrushed or whatever looks best.

Honeymoon Location: Western Caribbean

Flowers: Only for the bouquets and bouts: red and ivory roses.

First Dance Song: Then by Brad Paisley 

Centerpieces: 7” vase filled with curly ting, with a few beads sprinkled down the curl. The vase will have a ribbon with a bow around the top. The table number will be held by a curly wire sticking out of an apple next to the centerpiece.  

Food/Menu: Chicken parmesan with alfredo noodles, salad (the chef is from Olive Garden so YUM to the salad!) and some type of veggie, I forget.

Cake Flavour: We haven’t picked a cake yet

Favours: Chocolate covered pretzels

DJ/Band/Ipod: DJ

Shower (when/what): 2 showers, one on August 13th and the other on the 21st. One is at a restaurant and the other is in my cousin’s backyard.  

Bachelorrete (when/what): Late September, we are going to get a mani/pedi, out to dinner and then a night on the town. I believe we are finishing off the night with a sleepover at my cousins (the same house as the shower), who lives in the town we will be hanging out in.

Theme: calla lilies i guess i’m not sure there is a theme

Ceremony (where, time): my home church in the afternoon haven’t really set on a time yet 

Reception (where, time): fire house like place 

Dress Style: Off-the-shoulder A-Line with Side-draped bodic, from david’s bridal 

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Hair: probably a half updo type deal

 Makeup : not sure yet  

Honeymoon Location: not sure yet 

Flowers: cymbidium orchids with calla lilies, my Future Mother-In-Law is going to do all the flowers and i gave her freedom to add whatever flowers she thinks would look best with those two =) 

First Dance Song: Undecided. 

Centerpieces: not sure Future Mother-In-Law are going them too =) (I got so lucky she is wanting to do all the decor for us πŸ™‚ ) 

Food/Menu: not sure yet but me and my family are going to do most if not all the cooking

Favours: a bunch calla lilies things like candles and stuff like that I forget what else

Theme: ummmm yeah thats coming together hehe think morrocan/arabian tent with fairy lights pagan elements and a burgandy ball gown? The colours are the glue.

Wedding Party(#s): 1-MOH, 2-Best women,(my side)  2-best women,(fiance’s side) 1 page boy and a flower girl.

Ceremony (where, time): On my property under the blossoming fruit trees, 4pm

Reception (where, time): Marquee in on the other side of the property

Dress Style: Burgandy ball gown with roses on the skirt, corset back and a cute little bolero.

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): DIY hair, half up curled ringlets and an elven style circlet Makeup : depends how the budget goes 

Honeymoon Location: Not having one

Flowers: not sure yet, proteas, calla lillies, white fruit tree blossoms we shall see what I can put together

Centerpieces: mismatched glasswear with floating candles and flowers from my garden, material squares at base over white table cloth

Wedding Party(#s):  1 Maid/Matron of Honor, 2 maids, 1 Bridesmaid or Best Man, 2 Groomsmen, 1 (female) usher, 1 Program Attendant (her daughter) (We wanted to include the usher and PM in our wedding somehow because they’re so important to us, so we came up with those positions for them.)

Wedding guests – inviting 78, think @60-65 will show

 

Ceremony (where, time): Museum, Outdoor balcony in front of the eternal flame overlooking the Ohio River (omg can’t wait!!) Sunday October 16, 4:15p

Reception (where, time): Same venue, cocktail hour in Grand Hall following ceremony, back upstairs for reception

Dress Style: Essense of Australia d1129 – modified trumpet – LOOOOVE it!!

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Hair (pro): mostly down with one side pulled up a bit with an antique rhinestone brooch and a red rose. Makeup (pro), airbrush

Honeymoon Location: Disneyworld! We want to go one more time as adults without kids (my 2nd trip).

Flowers: Deep red roses for my bouquet and venue decor, cream roses for maids

First Dance Song: Calico Skies by Paul Mc Cartney (We’re also doing a later dance to Feel Love by Ben Harper since we have a first dance song-tie..we love both!!)

Centerpieces: Silver modern vases with deep red roses and crystal accents

Food/Menu: Subject to change: Choice of: Beef Burgundy in Puff Pastry, Chicken Marsala or Stuffed Portobello Mushroom for vegetarians

Shower (when/what): Being planned by Maid/Matron of Honor, maids and my mom currently – not sure when – Honeymoon themed? At one maid’s condo association clubhouse.

Bachelorette (when/what): Not sure – it’s local and being planned as a surprise to me from my maids! Love ’em! πŸ™‚ Maid/Matron of Honor will be in CA so she can’t attend, 1 maid is local (OH) and the other is flying in from NYC for shower/bachelorette – which is a wonderful and fantastic surprise!

Centerpieces: Antique Ball jars that my Grandmother collected her entire life, they’re a mix of amber, purple, blue and green-filled with more herbs, green hydrangeas, green spider mums and bear grass

Food/Menu: Soup and Sandwich-turkey flatbread with fresh mozzerella and basil pesto or BBQ pulled pork both served with buffalo stew

Cake Flavor:  Cupcakes :)- vanilla and chocolate with different fillings-mocha, chocolate with chili pepper, citrus and french vanilla all with buttercream frosting

Favours: DIY etched mason jar mugs filled with candy

Dress Style: Mori Lee Ivory A Line with Corset Back and modified sweetheart neck

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): Hair & Makeup Pro–unsure on style–only requirement is NATURAL

Honeymoon Location: 9 day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean

Flowers: NO ROSES–lots of herbs, berries, and sunflowers

First Dance Song: Not to be revealed until the reception! I can promise you it’s something non-traditional but we totally love it!

Centerpieces: Alternating high and low–High–1/2 gallon mason jars filled with various candy and artificial floral arrangement (doubles as candy bar); low–carved out artificial pumpkin filled with various candy with a leaf/berry/floral wreath around the base. Each of the centerpieces will have a different candy in said vessel–this is also how we are doing placecards, instead of sitting at Table One, you will sit at “Milky Way”

Food/Menu: Filet Mignon and Crab Cake

Cake Flavor:  Lemon with Raspberry Filling, Chocolate with Raspberry Filling & Chocolate Ganache…both iced with buttercream

Favours: DIY homemade pumpkin and apple pies in 4 oz wide mouth mason jars

Shower (when/what): beginning of August

Favours: The cake baker is making cookies in the shape of a 3 tiered wedding cake and will be decorated similarly to my wedding cake. They will be individually wrapped and tied with a coordinating ribbon
