Your wedding is the day before mine and I still have lots left to do!

Centerpieces: I’m not that creative but I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on floral center pieces so I have already went to Hobby Lobby and bought somethings and then I have a friend that is really good at that stuff so I’m going to beg her to help me! (Her husband is actually the ones marrying us) 🙂

Dress: My dress is in and has been but the last time I tried it on it was TOO SMALL! (SUCKED SUPER BAD!) I thought that I was going to do this whole workout thing and lose the weight because it’s just a little too small but I work fulltime and go to school fulltime and I’m actually lazy so I haven’t been going to the gym. I will have to just bite the bullet and get the dress let out. So I need alterations.

BM/GM gifts: I have not bought either. I have no idea what to get em’. My Fiance is probably going to get UGA tickets for a game for his guys to go together and then I’m going to most likely get my girls hair done for the wedding and then buy them jewelry to wear in the wedding.

Caterer: I told them 100 people and then invited about 180. (Forgot that just because you send out 1 invitation doesn’t mean that there will be 1 person coming with that invitation!) Waiting on RSVP’s so that I can give a more accurate number to them.

Ceremony: I have no idea how I want everything to go. I haven’t decided on a unity candle or the sand. I have got to get with the guy whose doing our ceremony.

And wait for it… This is horrible that we don’t have this part planned……..

Honeymoon– We still haven’t decided for sure where we are going. We had decided that we were not going to go anywhere bc of money and we were going to wait well that has changed so now we are rushing to get our passports and then we are most likely going to go to Cozumel.

– Marriage Licence/Craft Ceremony – to do 3rd week in September

– Bridal Shower – Sept 10th

– Book videographer – late addition due to me getting a full time job

– Reception DIY decor/buy candles for centerpieces/etc etc etc.

– Waiting on rings to be done; hopefully by Monday!

– Make clutches and paper wrapped flasks for bridal party.

– Tux fittings for both Fiance & Father-In-Law.

– Decide where we want to stay the night of the wedding (I really don’t want to spend the money but I don’t want to come back to our place either. ARGH)

– Seating chart – can’t do this until all RSVPs are in. HURRY UP PEOPLE.

– order the damn guestbook from Blurb.

– Favours, but its a help-yourself candy bar & I already have the jars. So not buying candy until the week before. Or else I’d have to buy it twice. 😉

– Hair consult/makeup trial.

– Dress is getting alterations and a bolero made for it.

– Add bracelet to wedding day jewellery.

– Write toast/thank yous.

There’s probably SO much more that I’ve totally forgotten about.

I’m mostly caught up, but there are a few things that are really freaking me out!

Fiance needs a SUIT. *rips hair out*

We need to buy our rings, and I have NO idea how fast their turn around is.

Centerpieces are pretty much figured out.

I have my final dress fitting next week.

Vows need to get figured out, but we’re not writing our own, so that shouldn’t be too difficult. Also pick up marriage license.

Make the guest book, put together all the favors.

Otherwise, I think I’m in good shape. I just hope their’s hope for the suit and the rings. I’m so stressing about them.

2. Hire a cake baker, I know who we are going through but we havn’t signed ANYTHING.

3. I need to assemble my “Trees” which are decor for both the ceremony and the reception (they are litterally 10 8 foot trees)

4. I have to finish collecting all the candles I need for my centerpieces

5. I need to finalize all the music for the cermony and reception (we are self Djing)

6. I need to find a hair stylist and have a trial.

7. 2 of the guys still need to get fitted for a tux, and 4 others still need shirts and vests.

8. other little things like finishing our card box and collecting our BM/GM gifts.

my to do list:

  • Order rings: Me neither! We’re going next Friday to the place he bought my ring (in a city neither of us live in, about 3 hours away) to see if they have anything. If not, I’ve got one picked out on blue nile and i’ll get him a tungsten one.
  • Order a garter: I’m not tossing one but I want a pretty one
  • Order alcohol: My brother’s fiancee’s brother owns a liquor store, she’s a Bridesmaid or Best Man and since it’s her bro I want her to come with – hopefully next week
  • Bridesmaid or Best Man dress alterations: I need to meet up with a Bridesmaid or Best Man so we can figure out how much to cut her dress and so she can try on her shoes
  • Confirm events w/MOH: She’s busy though and hasn’t gotten back to me, but I need to know what kind of parties we’re having so that I can buy outfits accordingly!
  • Ask my Uncle to be a reader: No excuse, other than he doesn’t live here and I didn’t want to just call and ask him!
  • Finalize ceremony order: I’ve got it down pretty much, just need to get it approved – meeting with the priest next Saturday.
  • Programs: after ceremony is finalized I can start putting these together
  • Download music: We got the playlist down last week, now we just need the actual music
  • Cover cardbox: I don’t like any of the paper I’ve gotten for it so I’ve been putting it off hoping for a better idea
  • Favors: Buy candy or whatever and assemble the favors – got the bags and stickers already though
  • Baker’s Twine: I need to order some for the programs… might need more ribbon too
  • Honeymoon: As soon as I get FH’s cc info I’m paying it off – need to get some travel insurance too still! Maybe I’ll do that this afternoon
  • String cranes: I’ve folded my little heart out and I got the fishing line but I’ve only strung a single crane so far!
  • Contact singer: Find out how much $ he’ll be and see what his thoughts are on shortening our ceremony songs – I don’t need a 4 minute song just for my processional!
  • Buy a vase: for my bouquet on our sweetheart table… gotta find a good one and maybe some more small pieces for reception decor
  • Go to ikea and get tolsby frames: my dumb ass picked them up but didn’t buy them last time and now I decided I want them again!
  • Pay baker (and mail her 2 little bling-y things I made for the cake): by 15 Sept
  • Get guestbook from photographer (she hasn’t told me it’s ready yet) give her photolist (still creating!), get guestbook pens
  • Florist: Meet with our sassy florist to go over arrangements again
  • Misc paper/decor: I’ve got to buy some frames, make menus, reserved signage, food tags, “thank you” and “cards” signs, guestbook direction, etc etc ETC!!!

I actually feel pretty good about where we are at.  Left to do:

Ceremony: Finish planning it (about half done) and notify our readers of what they are reading, fill in the blank spaces in our program and have them printed, finalize what we want to do for decor (besides alter arrangements) and buy those decorations

Vendors: Confirm details, give updated numbers to caterer, change our cake design, make final payments

Misc: Order favor bags, order photo guest book, reserve tuxes and get all the guys sized, buy scoops for candy buffet, get marriage liscense, DIY our card box, dress fittings, create a seating arrangment and escort cards (we are using log slices that Future Father-In-Law is cutting up this weekend! 🙂

Not too much.  Tuxes will be reserved this weekend and I am waiting until I get my next paycheck to order the photobook and candy favor bags.  And until we get the RSVPs back, the only other things that can be done are the stuff for the ceremony and the card box.  I feel pretty good right now!
