This is sad, but I don’t think I’ll be having the pre-wedding parties.

Fiance and I moved 4 months ago, all of our friends and family are 1.5 – 2 hours flight away. We are not closed with the new friends we met here (at least not yet).  I don’t think anyone will be throwing a shower or bachelorette party for me. I work from home, so no office shower either.

Sorry, this is a downer post.

@cutexkitty: That stinks, you should take yourself to the spa or something!

I think my girls are planning a bachelorette/lingerie shower in the summer sometimes, and my aunts are throwing a more family oriented shower in early October I think.

It’s kind of exciting to be in our wedding year! Makes everything seem so much more real!

@UpstateCait: and @ktbrady: It’s ok. I expected that when we moved. No expectation = no disappointment.

I’d still like to read all about your ladies and the parties though.

It’s weird to think that I’ll be a wife. I sometimes still call Fiance as Boyfriend or Best Friend and he would always corrected me. I don’t now if I’d change once I become wife.

@cutexkitty I am in the same boat.  Friends and Family are far, but I think we are going to try to plan a night out on the town a few nights before the wedding…

not sure yet, either – my mom’s friends want to throw a shower but I will have to fly home for that, and with planning the wedding from a distance also, travel weekends are becoming scarce!  haven’t really talked too much about the bachie yet either, but I’m thinking sometime mid to late summer (don’t want it too close to the wedding because all my girls are travelling for that also)…would love to hear other’s ideas!

I think that my mom will be throwing a shower for me in the summer and my maid of honour will be doing a girls get away in september.

I don’t even know if I’ll be getting a shower, my bachelorette party will probably be the weekend before the wedding, again not sure though

Gosh, I haven’t even thought about it!!! I guess middle of september for a bachelorette party, but as for a shower, i have no idea what the timeline is supposed to be for something like that!

I’m going to recommend August for a shower and September for the bachelorette party, hopefully that’s what happens.

My ladies are planning a shower/bachelorette party combo, since everyone’s scattered, for early August.
