well, we’re going to chance it and book with an all inclusive in riviera maya, mexico. My fiance’s cousin is a travel agent through Apple and we’ll be booking through here. I’ve also done a TON of research and asked people on  tripadvisor who’ve gone in October and most have said that’s it’s actually been very sunny and pleasant. 🙂 I’m really excited and hoping for the best!

My Fiance and I also picked Aruba in October.  However, we just can’t choose between the Radisson or the Hyatt.  Has anyone gone to Aruba and been to these hotels?  Which one would you pick and why?

The reviews on TripAdvisor, CheapCarribbean and Travelocity (etc.) are all overwhelmingly good for Punta Cana in October. I did have one Travel Agent warn me that it will be the end of hurricane season, but they said it honestly is usually pretty nice in October they just had to put that out there for liability reasons. We are going to chance it at Excellence Punta Cana.. I can’t wait! Even if it does rain, we’ll find a way to enjoy it.

I don’t want to worry you and hope that early November should be ok for your Tahitian honeymoon, but late October is the start of the rainy season generally in the South Pacific, including hurricanes.

My Fiance and I are Australian, I have been to the Sth Pacific Islands before in March/April and we are taking our honeymoon for 2 weeks in early October to the Cook Islands to be clear of the rain and hurricane season.

You might want to check the past few years meteorological patterns specific to Tahiti for the period you are going before finalising your plans.
