That sounds awesome! We’re just going to Destin, FL for a week and then next year we’re planning on taking a big anniversary trip to St Lucia or Antigua 🙂

We are doing an 8-night cruise to New England and Canada — we are cold weather people, so when we found out a Northern cruise was going out of Baltimore (hour away) a couple days after our wedding, we were all over it!

@blue_eyed_bride:  We are on Royal Caribbean…we were debating btw RC out of Baltimore and Princess out of NYC; but with Baltimore just an hour away it was a no brainer.

We really lucked out.  My best friend’s mom said we could use her timeshare.  So we got our hotel for $300 for a week (and it’s like a suite apartment).  The $300 was just to transfer the reservation into groomy’s name.  If you didn’t have to pay to do that we’d be staying there for a week for free.  It was so nice of her to let us use it!!!  She’s like another mama to me.  She called her timeshare up and said her daughter was getting married, tehe.  Haha

We’ll be honeymooning in Hawaii!  We’re going to Oahu for a week.  Neither of us have been there but I have some family members who have gone and it’s beautiful.  Everyone has loved it so I’m really excited.  Plus, this will be our first big trip where it’s just the two of us.  We’ve always either went on trips w/family or met up with friends.  We’ve always had fun with friends/family but it will be nice to just jet off…just the two of us.  =)  Looking forward to some fun in the sun.

There was talk of possibly extending our honeymoon but I’m not sure if that’s happening yet or not.  Depends on groomy’s work schedule and money basically.  If we extended it we’d be going to another one of the islands in Hawaii ^_^

Going over to groomy’s tonight to figure out details.

@kimberlyr22:  It’s so nice that they do cruises out of Baltimore.  It’s super close to us too.  My grandma has taken cruises out of Baltimore and loved it.  I hope you have fun!!  I think she was either on RC or Carnival cruise.  One or the other =) either way I’ve heard good things.  Never been on a cruise myself but they look fun.

Two weeks in Belize! A week in Cayo and a week on Ambergris Caye in the middle of November. Our accomodations will be pretty average, but that’s part of how we’ll get to stay that long.

We are having a DW in Destin, so staying till Tues after wedding for a day or two of relaxation on the beach and then taking our real honeymoon in Feb in Costa Rica.  We were stressing trying to find a place that wouldn’t be too rainy in October so FI suggested just going a few months later.  I wasn’t totally onboard with the idea at first, but I’m very glad we are waiting now.  Gives us more time to save up for honeymoon and go when it is better weather wise.  Plus….we will likely be spending our first Valentine’s day as a married couple there! 🙂

Plus, with all of the stress of planning a DW, would have added more stress to pack/plan for the DW and then a separate honeymoon right after.

Mini-moon 3 nights in Vegas (nothing special, just to get away during the week of nothing after the wedding and before the real honeymoon).   Then a 7 night cruise to the Mexican Riviera with ports at Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta.  We’re so excited!
