I’m planning on wearing a bolero but more-so because I hate my arms, not because of the weather.

I’ll be getting married in Chicago, but my dress has sleeves already, so no bolero or shrug for me. If I had a strapless dress I would wear a cardigan though since I hate boleros/shrugs.

@UpstateCait: the fall is a wonderful excuse for this! i’m doing the same=) but i feel better saying, ‘it gets very cold at night that time of year!’ lol

@Anniebo: I am getting married in Southern Ohio in October as well, but I should be okay with it being on the 1st. Where are you getting married? I am getting married in the Marietta area.

The thing about Ohio outside is that it can be rather windy. Also, how long is your ceremony? If it isn’t that long, maybe you would be okay for the ceremony and then  have a shawl for later if you will end up outside.

@Anniebo:Well, I am guessing I am hoping for your sake that it isn’t too bad. I am hoping that I don’t have the 80 degree weather for my wedding. That’s why I didn’t want a summer wedding!  I will take the 80 degree weather for my honeymoon!

I think I’m going the cardigan route actually! I don’t feel like spending a ton of money on a bridal bolero & don’t really like the look anyways. I wear cardigans over dresses all the time so it’s my style 🙂

I’m going for a bolero, moreso because I hate my arms than the weather.

Yep, I’ll have a cardigan or bolero on stand-by in case of chilly weather.

I had a bolero as a stand-by, but didnt need it. I was worried because it was the end of October and things are normally chilly here by then. Thankfully, the weather was warm, beautiful and sunny. I ended up returning the bolero and getting my money back.

I’m making a bolero-cut jacket with long sleeves, kind of like this inspiration photo I found on etsy:
