I’m not a October bride but I always thought DIY caramel apples would be a super cute Fall favor!

@Gebera… I had a bride do caramel apples once.  They turned out great but I know she was under the wire to DIY them in the days leading up to her wedding.  You can’t really prep these too far out.

Some of my other favs (not necessarily Oct themed)…

Scratch off Lottery Tickets

Late Night Snacks To Go (Coffee car with Pumpkin Lattes or Apple tartlets, Also love coffee and doughnuts or Girl Scout Cookies, Yum!)

I was thinking of lottery tickets, but decided against it. Can you imagine if someone actually wins a lot of money with a ticket that you bought? I would be happy for my friend, but definitely upset as well πŸ™‚

I’m not doing actual favors as I personally don’t find them necessary.  That being said, we’re planning on having a photobooth (it’s one of the few requests that Fiance has made) and I know that can be considered a favor.  I just consider it fun!

I had a cousin who basically just set out huge bowls of lollies and gave everyone a little chinese takeaway box. Everyone loved it.

You could do anything really. Jars of hot chocolate/deserts. Or maybe do a lucky dip? Depending on how many guest you have you could always just buy or bake or make something that you like or enjoy if you can’t pick one favor you’d like to do and then just get people to randomly pick something. I don’t know how well that’d work (I just thought of it off the top of my head) haha.

Personally I’m doing something spring related in my colours. πŸ™‚

We’re having a fall themed wedding so we’re giving each guest an orchard mini apple pie. I’m on my phone so I don’t have any pics but it’s basically a smaller version of a tradition pie. About 6″ in diameter and absolutely delish!

Well.. we weren’t going to do favors at first because we both usually find them useless.  But we were laying around one night and randomly came up with something we think is cute.  We’re going to put Famous Amos cookies inside of Tiffany box replicas.  Why, you ask?  Well, his name is Amos & mine is Tiffanie.  LoL, it’s cheesy, I know.. but we couldn’t help ourselves.

i plan to do something with apple cider mix, cinnamon sticks, and caramel candies. i also want to make some pumpkin whoopie pies (shaped like pumpkins) and (buy) some mini apple cider donuts and package them up in clear packaging, place a letterpressed tag on each (i’m a letterpress printer) with some ribbon and place one at each place setting. i know, a little daunting but the whoopie pies can be made ahead of time and frozen so that makes things a but easier. the other favors i can do way ahead of time πŸ™‚

We’re doing chocolate coins that have our wedding logo screened onto them with a thank you note. I also can jellies, so I considered doing small jars of jelly for each guest. I went to an October wedding where the guests were given California honey. It looked so pretty in the jars on the table.

We’re doing jars of apple cider with a cinnamon stick and placing the table numbers and names of guests on a gold leaf tied onto the jar. I saw this in the Martha Stewart Weddings magazine for 2011. It had lemonade in the jars, but I think it will be so cute with apple cider for Fall!

@pinkladykrista   I  like the idea of coffee and donuts as guests leave! Very cool πŸ™‚

@MUI831:

Someone once told me if you give a lottery ticket gift the best way to prevent awkardness is to buy a 2nd ticket with the same numbers for yourself.  So, if you are prepared to double your ticket budget, then you have a solution.  πŸ™‚
