Hello,
I am getting married next October 2013 and I am trying to figure out some good honeymoon options.. We have been thinking about Hawaii, Bora Bora or maybe the French Riviera. Any other suggestions? (We take a Caribbean vacation annualy, so I would like to avoid any of those islands!) also, it does not necessarily have to be a “beachy” place.
THANK YOU!

Hello! were in the exact same boat. our plans are to hop around and not stay in one place longer than 3 days.
Right now our top contenders are…
-Brazil: traveling up the coast. Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, etc
-French Polynesian Islands: Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea
-Fiji Islands
-Peru: Machu Picchu….need I say more

Have you considered Europe? Especially southern cities like Barcelona and Rome and really nice in October and flights to Europe are most affordable in the Oct. – Dec. window.

we went to Bora Bora and Moorea for our honeymoon and had the MOST amazing time! you can go to hawaii anytime but honeymoon’s are supposed to be special! But if going to Bora bora make sure you have the budget for it. We stayed at the st. regis and LOVEEEED it but I wouldnt recommend any of the hotels on the main island.. st. regis, four season and le meredian are on a separate part of bora bora and the water is clearer the overwater bungalows are actually over water and you will be treated like royalty! Definitely not cheap.. but SO worth it!!!

If we could have taken a honeymoon, I would have chosen leaf peeping in New England or a trip to europe. But maybe I’m just weird.
