We always travel to Mexico every October for the last 10+ years. Never even had a drop of rain on any of our vacations, but its usually half tge price because technically its still hurricaine season (the tail end of hurricane season). Cannot recommend Mexico enough, look into the Mayan Riviera area, super safe, wonderful to see in October 😊

We are considering going to Colorado for our October honeymoon. There are some amazing all inclusive resorts where you get your own horse for the week and all the food is farm-to-table. The prices are a little lower in October, the foliage is beautiful, and there’s even a few adults-only weeks.

Our less expensive backup plan is the White Mountains in New Husband. October is absolutely gorgeous up there, and there’s tons of great restaurants and hiking trails. Theres also fun activities like dinner trains and zip lines. You can stay in a fancy hotel or get a cabin in the woods.

There are Caribbean islands that are not in the path of hurricanes – e.g. Curacao and Aruba.

We’re going to Mauritius because it’s spring there now and weather is amazing.

We took our honeymoon the last 2 weeks of October and went to Japan. It’s at the end of typhoon season (although I think Okinawa might still get some at that time). It was really nice weather (about 20 degrees Celsius every day). Not sure if this is the kind of honeymoon you are looking at though, definitely not a relax on the beach destination.

Hawaii is amazing!!! How much time do you have? I wouldn’t do less than 10 days because of the long flight.

Husband and I just got back from our 9 day/8 night honeymoon in Maui. We flew there from California, where we got married, and then flew back home to Michigan. The flights were long, but we felt like we had enough time in Hawaii to be worth it. It was absolutely gorgeous and we did so much.

We’re doing California, most likely. We were gonna do tropical but hurricane fear put us off it. Getting married October 20, 2018 and want to do Disneyland//LA, San Fran, and Monterey.

We went to French Polynesia in September (hurricane season in the Carribean). That would be an even longer plane ride for you than to Hawaii though. If you were interested in the Caribbean, I would look into the ABC islands. We had the same issue and also considered Aruba for our September honeymoon 🙂

cjoy12 :  We rented a cabin near Canada and went fishing. Some may say it doesnt sound like a honeymoon, but it was amazing for us! We have some great memories catching fish, enjoying the fall colors, and spending some time unplugged!

We went to Maui the last weekend of October for our honeymoon. It was SO perfect. Weather was a dream and there’s wasn’t too many people there, mostly couples, so it was crazy hectic. So relaxing.

I am technically 9/29/18 so September but our honeymoon will fall in October. We are planning on going to Hawaii! I had the same issue, we didn’t want to do caribbean because of hurricanes. I have heard that October is a great time of year to go to Hawaii…it’s kind of an off time as far as tourists or so i’ve heard.
