also October 1, 2011 and outdoor (although with a backup, but of course it’s not as good) – AND in South Carolina (hello, hurricane season!) I might be slightly crazy but looking into it, seems like the first weekend in October is usually a nice one. I’m hoping that just HAVING a backup option will count as not tempting fate too much, and the weather will cooperate!

Our wedding is on October 9th in the vineyard and we have an indoor backup. I am not too thrilled about it, but it’ll still be pretty.
My biggest concern is for the pictures. I am planning on buying colourful rubber boots and a big matching umbrella, so that even if it rains pictures will be cute and happy 🙂

I’m an Oct 1, 2011 bride too. I praying for nice weather in NY that day, but preparing for a downpour just in case…

I don’t know if you are religious or not, but my Future Mother-In-Law puts a Virgin Mary statue facing out on a windowsill towards the north. This is supposed to prevent rain. She has done it for every family member who has had a wedding – it’s never rained. It’s worth a shot!

I’m October 22nd…in Wisconsin. Probably not going to get lucky enough for an outdoor ceremony, but this past October it was 60 degrees that weekend! Also, I went boating on October 8, 2011 and it was 80 degrees. Fingers will be crossed!

I too am worried. We are getting married on the golf course, we are praying for good weather. However the country club has a backup option just in case….but then I feel like I will be unprepared with no decorations in our back up spot.

I was 10/9 in Cleveland. All week the weather sucked–rainy and cold and very Cleveland. By Friday is was beautiful. There was a very-less-desirable back up. God smiled on me with 75 and sunny. This is one thing you absolutely can’t control, so don’t even bother. The link below is to another Bee’s pictures–I can’t remember who. However, they were so beautiful, I saved it just in case. The second to the last picture will almost make you wish for rain:)

Oct 22nd in Georgia. Definitely outside. We’ll work out a rain plan, but I’m thinking that we won’t have to worry about it. It’s highly unlikely to rain or be too cold that day.

I’m not really that worried because our outdoor wedding is in Las Vegas and it usually doesn’t rain much there. It should be right around 70 degrees actually which is perfect.

Ours is Oct 15 in Indiana…definitely will have a backup plan, but trying not to fret over it 🙂

October 29, Baton Rouge Lousiana outside wedding right here! (Technically still hurricane season). Normally in Louisiana there are 2-3 months of “GOOD” weather: March, April, October. Other than that its a random mix of really hot and humit, or rainy and strangely chilly.
We have a few backup plan options: 1) in the plantation. There is a balcony in the house overlooking the bottom floor. So we would get married on the main floor and guests could either be down there or looking down from above. 2) in the main ballroom where the reception will be 3) on the porch (in case it rained that day and the ground is wet we could be outside but not in the grass)
But I’m really really really hoping for our initial plan of out in front of the plantation under the oak trees.

I know it will be still quite warm here in Atlanta on Oct 1st, but I hope it does not rain. I really want an outdoor ceremony. But we are lucky in that everything is in the same place so they would just move the ceremony indoors if it did happen to rain. But I hope it doesn’t!

We are having our ceremony outdoors as well.. but luckily Colorado doesnt rain much. 300+ days of sunshine a year! Average October weather here is upper 50s, low 60s.. so we definately are not worried. But do have the inside of the venue that will be available for ceremony should we need it. In all honesty, Fiance and I think it would be super romantic should a few flurries decide to fall during our ceremony.. and that is a big possibility being so high up in the mountains. Either way, our day will still be amazing and perfect!

October 8th bride, outdoor HOPEFUL lol but a beautiful indoor backup plan. I am in Utah and our weather here changes every time you blink! So….who knows, either way you will have an amazing day 🙂

It is spring her but the weather in Australia has been really crazy so who knows? I guess if it does rain we will move it into the marquee. Thats not ideal because the dj will be setting up in the corner as we are planning an outside tea and biscuits little moment before moving in to the marquee (mainly because I can only afford the dj to play from 5.30 to 10.30.)
my BM’s wedding ended up raining, she was really upset that morning but we moved it under a huge tree with the guests under a bbq shelter area( it was in the botanical gardens) The wet leaves made for amazing photos. I think all will work out in the end either way.
