I’m getting married October 6th of next year, and we’ll most likely have an outdoor ceremony. We wanted a church ceremony but since neither of us is committed to becoming church members, we can only book our ceremony 6th months ahead of time. We live in a very historical city with lovely historical churches and I doubt our date will still be available at that point. The good news is our reception location is gorgeous and there is a beautiful spot to have an outdoor ceremony. I do worry about rain, but if it happens, it happens. I’m not going to stress myself out for a year about it.

South Florida bride getting married on the beach during Hurricane Season! 🙂 I’m sure it will all work out fine. :-).
I’m worried about normal rain too, but most worries are over the wind. It can get windy on the beach, and on the windiest days the sand stings! If it’s too windy the wedding will moved off the beach. 🙁
I find myself calibrating myself to different winds when I visit the beach these days. So far, 12 kts are okay.

Ours is on October 16th outside and we do have a backup plan but I will be disappointed if we don’t get to be outside due to the weather. Of course, I’ll still be really happy but the views we could get in the pics during our ceremony outdoors don’t really compare to indoors.
Just like Fall Bride 100111, we also researched the weather patterns and for the past 3 years running (I know…OCD), both the Fiance and I tried to determine the two weekends that were prime fall color and went for one of them. Fingers crossed! Ohio weather is really unpredictable too!
Oh and I may steal Imagelicious’ idea and buy colorful rainboots and an umbrella for the photos, just in case. 🙂

We are also going to have an outdoor wedding on October 29, 2011 in Temecula CA… We dont have a back up at all..opps! but i also live in Temecula and the last two years it hasnt rained, im just worried it will be a little cold and we arent getting any space heaters, but the venue offers 2 heaters if we need them last minute, but i dont know how 2 heaters are going to keep 150 people warm LOL

We are totally fine if it rains here in NC on our 10/15/11 wedding. We’re having it outside on a farm with the reception in the barn directly behind the field. It’ll be gorgeous!! We’re only worried about the Honeymoon in the Florida Keys :/. Oh well!! We will survive either way!

I’m Oct 2nd in MA… and you can never tell with New England weather… I’m having my wedding outdoors (hopefully)… but think of it this way. There is nothing you can do about it! At least you have a back up plan now versus the day before!
I’m buying some rain boots and a colorful umbrella in case it does rain… I want some great pics!
