@greenkate09: I am going to use them this cycle as well. I told myself I’d go 6mon trying virtually everything and if we weren’t pregnant then I’d back off so I don’t stress myself out too much so I figured I have 2 more cycles I’ll throw the kitchen sink at! lol Hopefully this oil helps!! Are you doing them this cycle?

@kc0624:    I like the six month strategy! I’m excited to hear if the oil changes your readings on the strips. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it’s the nudge you need! I think I’m going to kinda use them… I have 2 left from the starter pack so I think I’ll test twice a couple days apart when I’m supposed to be having my progesterone surge.

@curlygirlp:  I love when you get to POAS twice in a month, makes it feel like an extra chance (kind of like an extra paycheck!). A BFP on her birthday would be a lovely gift but I have my FX that you get your BFP this weekend!

@mrswannabemomma:  I figured the expiration date was just a marketing/sales technique to get people to buy more. I really want to be more chill this time around but it’s so nice to have the OPKs to know something is going on.

ROLL CALL

Your age/partner’s age: 33/35

Baby #: 2

Current cycle day/DPO: CD1

Ovulation date: Who TF knows at this point. Possibly 10/15 but that’s only if my cycles go back to normal. My last cycle was 49 days for no apparent reason.

POAS date: 10/30, again, if everything is back to normal…

Usual cycle length:  Used to be 28/29 days, but since this summer, things have been wonky.

Cycles trying: 6. We’ve been NTNP since February, but actively trying since May. I’ve had 2 early miscarriages since February so not getting my hopes up too high.

BFP plan (BD timing, charting, prenatals, supplements etc.): Prenatals, charting (by the Ava bracelet), BD timing… probably basically going to BD every other day this month just to increase chances in case I’m ovulating late again.

Trying anything new this month? BD for a longer window since last month was a super wonky cycle. Getting in more exercise, eating better, drinking more water… all the stuff I should be doing normally but sometimes let slide.

For fun: What was your favorite Halloween costume that you’ve worn? For our first Halloween together, DH and I dressed in a couples costume where I was a boxer and he was my coach.

Pretty sure I ovulated! I’ve had two days of higher temps now so I’m feeling pretty confident. My ovulation was only delayed 3 days, so I’m feeling better that my cycle seems to be regulating already after my MC.

I’m trying to hold myself to the 10/10 POAS date, that would be 10 DPO. But my first cycle I said the same thing and started testing at 7 DPO 🤦🏻‍♀️. I’m really going to try to hang on until at least 9 DPO this time so I don’t burn through so many tests!

@fourthnoel:  I bought a 25 pack of super cheapies on Amazon because I test way toooooo often and too early! I felt less guilty when they were way cheaper than a Clearblue or something haha

@fourthnoel:  Ugh the agony of waiting!!  I’m 7dpo today and I’m trying to hold out to 10dpo (although my POAS date is 9dpo since that is when I tested positive for my daughter). I’ve been okay up until now but with the weekend, help me!

I got my LH peak/ovulation earlier than expected so moving my test date to the 15th based on it’s updated chart.

I’m really glad for the opks this go around but still trying to hold any expectations. It was at least comforting to see my LH levels and see them change. Now the long tww.

I got a positive opk today so I may o a day earlier than I thought, but I’ll keep the same poas date for good measure 😂. Question, do y’all put y’all legs up after? Lol always heard that. This is my first time so I googled and google said it’s unnecessary 😂 hubby and I were too tickled that we were even thinking of doing it (and did do it for a few secs)

@curlygirlp:  ugh, that’s so tough to hear a discouraging prognosis but I”m glad they’re taking things seriously! If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my ttc journey it’s that doctors know a lot…but they don’t know everything. I continually hear stories of people defying the odds to get pregnant, so don’t let your AMH get you too down. I just had dinner last night with a friend who had THREE healthy babies all conceived naturally at age 39, 43 and 45(!!) respectively.

And thanks for the suggestion about PAI-1 and MTHFR – I did have a thrombophilia panel done but I went back and looked and it doesn’t seem like either of thsoe were tested for. I’m going to mention them to my clinic – everything is worth a try!

@maybee1:  our first cycle trying I just laid on my back for about 10 minutes after. I did get a positive that cycle, but I doubt it was related. I read somewhere that the sperm that will reach the egg will be shot up there so fast that laying down for a while after won’t help – the stuff that leaks out would’ve never made it to the egg anyways.

This cycle I’m still laying down afterwards, but for only a few minutes. I got a nasty UTI in the middle of my fertile window and I didn’t want to risk it getting worse.
