My wedding date is the 12th. I think I did my Save the Dates in Feb and March. I plan to drop all the invites in the mail on August 10th. I put my RSVP date for the 12th of September. I know for sure people will be late sending them back, the good thing is I don’t have to give my venue a final count until 10/3/14!

October 12 wedding
I’m sending mine the third week of July (hopefully!) because we have a lot of international and cross country guests. RSVP is due by September 12.

Our wedding is October 17th and because we didn’t send out SaveTheDates (gasp, i know) we sent ours out last week. However, this is after my grandmother and my parents were badgering me with details saying “well we just want to plan ahead and make sure we can reserve our rooms”. It made sense and instead of getting all huffy and puffy about other people not sticking to my schedule… I took it as a sign! A sign that others would need to be able to plan ahead as there are kids involved and it is a Friday (gasp, again, i know) wedding.

Technically, if you sent out SaveTheDates etiquette in all the varied and multiple places i have seen is 6-8 weeks from the date you have listed as the “RSVP by” date.

My wedding is also 10/17 and I don’t plan on sending them out until the second full week of August. We didn’t send Save the Dates either, but most out of town guests are family and were already told of the date so that they could plan travel. Everyone else is local, or within a few hours of driving.
Plus, we’re having a small ceremony and most of the people are invited to the reception which will be the Friday evening – so not much planning since most would be around.
But, if you already have yours out – it makes me want to get on the ball sooner! *lol*

our wedding is also on 10/17. Most of our guests are from out of town (even us!) so I may send mine the first week of August. Honestly I would love to send them out sooner but since that isn’t typical I thought I should wait a bit longer. We send our Save-The-Date Cards in early feb.

This thread is a relief! My wedding is the 18th and I haven’t even made my invitations yet! But I’m planning on having them all done by the end of the month and sending them out in early August. Good to see other people have the same idea as me!

I could not stand it anymore. My invites had been addressed for a week so I mailed them all tonight! I’m so excited. 75 days to go!

My invites came last Wednesday, and I spent Sunday stamping the RSVP postcards. My mom graciously offered to help stuff the envelopes, so that was done the other day. I want them out in the mail next Friday.
This weekend I plan on getting of all the addresses uploaded to our label program, so that some night next week we can work on getting the addresses printed on the envelopes. I also need to number the RSVPs in case I can’t read a name, and put the number of seats reserved on each invite. So much to do this weekend!!
