I am getting married on October 11, 2014 in West Virginia – it is going to be gorgeous outside! However, my color scheme is a little different than most fall weddings. Instead of orange and rustic colors, we are doing light pink roses, white football mums, and white pumpkins. It’s essentially a “shabby chic” fall wedding – with the ceremony and reception indoors! My dress is a vintage looking fit-and-flare (lots of lace) and my bridesmaids are wearing long wearing navy, satin gowns. The groomsmen will be in grey tuxes with navy accents.
Has anyone else used a unique color scheme for this time of the year? Something similar to this one? Please share advice and inspiration. =)

It sounds gorgeous! I love fall weddings! I’m getting married in the fall, but it will be on the beach in Puerta Vallarta, so we’re not doing traditional fall colors either. I really like the pumpkin ideas, and I think your color scheme will really be lovely.

Following! My wedding is 10/19 and my colors are pink and champagne. Love the white pumpkins!

So far the pink I plan to incorporate is in the form of my bouquet (my roses will be a lighter pink than the photo and I will be using white satin as opposed to burlap), my groom’s pink rose bout, my flower girl dress, my 3-tier pink and white cake, and the pink roses petals that will sorround the centerpieces. The centerpieces will be a lovely vintage vase of white mums with a few white mini pumpkins surrounding it. Any other ideas? My ladies will by contrast be in navy dresses and we will have navy sashes on our seats. White linens.

Our shade of pink is also going to be lighter than this shade, but is this not the most perfect inspiration? Love this.

MrsPellegrin2014: When I read the title I was thinking orange pumpkins and pink everything else (which didn’t sound awful, I was just surprised at how different it sounded)….when I read more I thought it sounded SUPER chic!
I don’t have anything helpful to add, but I just wanted to share how much I love your theme. It is so different from the usual rich, dark, rustic colors! (which are also pretty)

I was going to suggest white pumpkins. Sounds good!

i’d like to think i have a “unique” colour scheme for fall as well, but not along the same lines as yours… we’re getting married october 25 and are big halloween fans, but instead of the typical orange and black, we’re doing eggplant as the primary colour, and then some black (and white), and gold! kinda going for a dark glamour, so excited! 🙂
