We’re getting married Oct 24th . We’re taking a 12 day southern Caribbean cruise. We’re leaving like 2 weeks after our wedding though. That’s just how it worked out with timing. We didn’t want a halloween wedding and the weekend before the cruise is NJ school convention and all our friends go away with their kids so that weekend was out. oct 24 was the closest wedding date to the cruise we wanted to take.

We are geting married October 11. He wants somethig tropical and we have plenty of miles to redeam (also putting everything wedding on the miles card and paying it off at the end of the month to avoid interest fees). He is looking at Tihiti and Bora Bora. I think I could be dragged there!

  • Wedding: Kauai

Since you’re already on the west coast, have you considered Hawaii???? We met/got engaged/got married on Kauai. It is our favorite place on earth and we try to visit once a year. There are a number of reasonably priced rental homes and most of the activities are free since the natural part of Kauai is absolutely mind blowing. I would love to help you out if it’s something you are interested in, and since you’re traveling from the NW, you can probably get exceptional prices on airfare (read: buy one get one free – can explan more over PM) and when we were there September through November, we had exceptional weather and minimal crowds. Let me know if I can help. Congrats and best wishes!

Wedding in octonber. Planning for Thailand but not right after the wedding because its rainy season until November. Right now honeymoon is very much up in the air and I dont mind. I think we’d go somewhere local right after the wedding for 1-2 nights to decompress, then have soemthing to look forward to for the “real honeymoon”

Married on 11/13 and going to Paris/Florence/Rome right after. Taking a bit of a gamble with the weather but we aren’t beach people and don’t want to wait to take our honeymoon! We live in NYC so we are used to walking around and doing daily activities outside even when it’s not so nice weather!

I got married LAST October, but we waited to take our honeymoon last month (February 8-15). I wanted to go someplace warm when it was freezing cold where I live – which it was that week.

We ended up going to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and stayed at the Majestic Elegance resort. We had a great time!

  • Wedding: October 2015 - Church ceremony, reception at a historic inn

We’re getting married 10-3-15. We’re Floridians, so we have warm weather almost all year. We’ve gone to the Caribbean a couple of times, and we’ve been throughout Europe together, so we wanted something really different. But, I didn’t want to go to a ‘once in a lifetime’ destination where I’d feel the need to be out and about exploring constantly, rather than focusing on my new husband. We found a romantic cabin in Alaska that we’re renting for a week after the wedding. I think it will be a total adventure, but slow enough paced to allow for relaxation and together time.

Mauritius is fantastic in October. Were still looking into finances but that is our aim!
