- Wedding: December 1969
I would imagine this is not a problem that occurs often. Here’s the scenario. One of my best friend’s husband is a DJ and has offered to provide music at our wedding as a gift. While I prefer a band, with such a tiny budget, I was happy to take him up on his offer. So, we’re a couple of months from the big day. I found out a couple of days ago that my friend and her husband are having super-major problems with their marriage. Big, huge, major problems. As in, if he finds out some of the things that she’s been pulling, it will probably be the end of their marriage.
I’m afraid that if things go kaput (and of course my primary concern is for their happiness) that I’ll be without any music at the wedding at the last minute. I can’t exactly go out and hire another DJ – what would I say to him? I’m sorry, but your wife is having an affair? Any suggestions? I know that the Ipod is always an option but I really want to avoid that if at all possible.
I’ve finally saved up enough to put on a relatively decent wedding and the extra expense will be hard to integrate into our budget, but I don’t want to spend a ton of money on the reception only to have people sitting around contemplating their navels after dinner. Yikes.
