I hope I’m posting this in the right place but twice now, in the past 2 weeks I’ve woken up in the middle of the night from what I would personally call a nightmare.
The first dream my Fiance wanted nothing to do with me. I couldn’t get him to tell me why and I was pleading and crying to him to please tell me. He kept saying in the dream, ‘she told me. She told me to end things with you.’ Then finally I asked who she was? And it turned out that she was his DAD. His dad was telling me to end things with me and not to marry me.
Then BAM…I woke up and was happier than ever to realize it was a dream and my Fiance was sleeping next to me.
The second dream was last week. And the same thing. Fi was running away from me and wanted to call off the wedding. And there I was pleading and crying in the dream and he just wanted to call things off and break up.
I actually remember whimpering in my sleep as I was crying in the dream…Fiance heard it too.
Then BAM…I woke up again and was glad, once again, that it was a dream.
I’ve told Fiance about these dreams and I just wish I could understand why they are occuring. Our relationship is as solid as ever and we always talk about how we can’t wait to get married.

I think it’s just stress from the wedding being worked out in your mind! Dreams aren’t always telling us things that we don’t realize, sometimes they are just random firings of your brain.

I also have dreams like this all of the time.
either he is avoiding me and doesnt want to see me anymore or he is trying to get rid of me.
I dont think they mean anything harmful but ide sure like to get to the bottom of them. Ive woken up mad or sad too and then realized oh wait it was a dream!
& were already married

I know. It’s a relief to realize they were just dreams.

Welcome to the wedding nightmares… I thought they were a myth… until I had my first one a week or so ago.
I was going in for my first dress fitting and when I had my dress on and walked out of the room and looked in the mirror… I freaked out. The dress was not the same dress that I chose a few months ago. It was 4 inched too short in the front. Had pink poofy princess sleeves. Had pink hip poofs… I was pleading with the seamstress that this was not the dress I ordered. I woke up and was so happy it was a nightmare….
Now I have a wedding related dream/nightmare a few times a week. It started at about 6 months till the wedding.

Ha! @Ms.Caniche – I’m about 6 months out…too funny. These are the first 2 about Fiance leaving me. But prior to these I’ve had 2 wedding dress nightmares.
Oh man, if I have 6 more months of these…I won’t be happy.

Planning stress or overwhelming you? That can cause wedding nightmares or someone in the family making a fuss over your plans you’re not happy about (e.g. his dad)? Unfortunately, these come with the glory of wedding planning. Hopefully, you won’t have too many of these though.

I have had the most bizarre dreams lately. Some are wedding related and some are not, but they all end with me waking up in the middle of the night with my heart racing and my mind racing.
I know I have too much going on and I think the stress is coming out in my dreams.
