Could he have an "assistant" for the day? Someone to do some of the basics so he isn’t working your entire wedding but gets to enjoy being a dad at it a little more?

My soon to be brother in law is doing the same thing and he is SO excited to be doing it. It kind of cracks me up actually. He’s this tough guy and all of a sudden I’m getting weekly super excited calls from him asking about songs and mixes. It has made him SO involved in the wedding. I’m glad he’s doing it.

Is your dad going to throw a playlist on an IPOD to play? If he does the deejay job won’t take much maintanance.

I would make sure you have someone who could step in to cover the introduction and first dances. Other than that I don’t think you’ll have any snags. Good luck!
