If you like to coordinate your stone cuts so they match, then you made the right decision to switch to RBC stones on your band to enhance the appearance of your Ering center stone, not distract from or compete with. I think OEC stones are spectacular, but I think you should go with your initial gut reaction.

I don’t like oec moissanite in person. Because the way moissanite sparkles is different from diamond, the light rolls off in an almost “lazy” way. That’s why I think rb cuts, or any cuts that have splintery sparkles, suits moissanite more.

I have an oec moissanite and I will never get another one! It just doesn’t please my eyes once I got used to it. The large facets exaggerate how slowly light rolls off, like an oily sheen instead of a clear lake. On the other hand, my very old rb moissanite (no fancy hearts or arrows) still gets its turn in the sun now and then!

@NellBee55:  Not an OEC but I have an old cut! An antique cushion. They’re called candlelight cuts because they were made to glow by candlelight!!
