oh no! That is my worst nightmare. I get breakouts right before my period, so I used this stuff:

I’ve tried proactive and clinique. Both worked okay, but the stuff above works almost overnight to diminish any blemishes, or at least greatly reduces them. I only use the lotion at night time because otherwise it dries my face out. And I make sure to use a good oil free moisturizer during the day.

I’ve tried a lot of products! Who knew adults still got acne. So annoying.  This is the only product that works consistently for me. And it’s not too expensive, they sell it at most drug stores and Target so it’s easy to find. I use the face wash and toner every night. I use the lotion usually only when I break out and it makes my skin smooth and clear.

Is there any way you could get an appointment with a dermatologist? Whenever I get a really giant pimple, my derm will do a cortisone injection and the pimple is always gone by the next morning.

When I don’t have time to get to the derm, though, I use a sulfur mask. Mine’s from DDF and is kind of pricey, but works great. I also heard Salma Hayek’s line of cosmetics at CVS has a sulfur treatment – totally worth checking out. Good luck!

@KatieBklyn:  yes a cortisone injection is the way to go for sure, I totally agree

@Katherine27:  be careful not too put too much product on!! you’ll dry out your skin, leaving a pimple that you can’t conceal probably because the skin is pealing off!! seriously, don’t make this mistake. that’s way worse than just a pimple

I never paid for it, it was covered by my health insurance. I paid the copay to see my derm
