I am wearing the Adorae, I chose it before I knew it was popular. But you know what? The only people who know its popular are you guys. Its gorgeous, its my style and taste, and it looks awesome on me. I am certainly not going to regret my choice because a bunch of people on a website who I don’t know and who I will never encounter at any time in real life think it’s over done. It hasnt been done on ME yet. ๐

My dress is so obscure, I can only find two pictures of it on the internet and don’t know its name, if it has one – just the style number! But I think people overestimate the popularity of wedding dresses. I haven’t seen most of these popular ones because they weren’t the styles I looked at. I think whatever you love is what you should get.

@BrandNewBride: I was almost a Sabelle bride! But I couldn’t handle the insane amount of fabric in the Florida heat.
I think that the “popular” dresses are really only popular online/to wedding freaks like us. “Real” people haven’t really seen them and, if they have, I’m sure it’s not often enough to make them too recognizable. That being said, I have a dress that was private label and I don’t really know of any that are very close to it.

I LOVE my dress and it’s one of the ones you have up there – Maggie Sottero Karena Royale (although I am changing the sash because good god that bow). It might be popular online, but I’ve never been to a wedding where the bride wore that dress. Plus, it looks fantastic on me! ๐ I love the way I feel when I’m wearing it. I’m not going to go out of my way to find a different dress when I love that one so much.

I never know if a dress is popular when I see it. I am having one made but it’s only because I really wanted a blush pink and a certain style and it was too hard to find. At the end of the day…I just love a bride in a dress she loves. ๐

I am going with Maggie Sottero’s Karena Royale (LOL) lucky thing I live on a very small island, so even though I know how popular the dress is (online, on wedding boards etc) the few friends I have shown it to are absolutely in love with it (and have never seen it before)….and it makes me feel so good about my choice ๐

I tried on all but two of these. They are gorgeous, lovely dresses. I ended up with MS Veronica. It has the same feel as many of these. Lace, mermaid, jeweled belt etc. Many dresses are very, very similar. If something worked for me I would not feel any worse about it becuase the style is popular. How many dresses are really, truly nothing-like-it unique? Very few. Designers often copy each other or copy elements of the same dress season after season. I’m not sure why there’s pressure to be so absolutely unique when it comes to the dress. It’s never really going to look the same on one person to the next. Not worth stressing over.
