We invited 102, 69 came. We had our wedding in CA (live in MA) and it was out of state for around 92% ofour guest list.

My wedding hasn’t happened yet so i am answering based on friends I know who had international destination weddings.

One friend was getting married in Italy, they invited about 100.  Of that 100, 60 people told her they were definitely planning on coming, but in the end they ended up with about 35.  Granted, Italy is a lot harder to get to than a lot of other Destination Wedding locations.

Some other good friends of ours got married in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. They invited 250, were expecting about 150, and then ended up with 120.

Like you, I have people i think will show up and people that i have to invite but Im pretty positive will not show up. I am inviting over 200 and expecting 100, but who knows!

My wedding hasn’t happened yet, but i voted based on the people who have responded far asking about travel info and hotel location. Of the pople I have invited about 50% have responded, I know that I still have some people on the QUESTIONABLE list though. I would like to see some more responses so I can have a good grasp on the situation and some of the activities I wanted to plan.

I’m writing from only my side of the invitations, since it’s not a destination wedding for FH. I invited 160 or so, but expected about 95 to show. With 2.5 weeks left, about 65-70 have booked flights and hotels. FH invited lots, and they’re all coming 🙂 Our wedding is in Panama, if that helps any. Good luck!

My reception place told me to count on 60% of my “expected” list to come.  I’d be interested too to find out how many of peoples expected guests actually made it.

i was having some trouble with this. i had lots of people telling me they want to come, they are most probably coming, they ARE coming! and by lots, i thought i would have 30 – 35…i was worried i might even end up with 40!  Now we have 17 booked. so that;s about half of what we expected.  i don’t think anyone else will be booking, but miracles can happen.  i feel like my situation is different since 5 people that were “expected” have really good reasons why they are not coming abd they were 100% going to come. So it really could have been the 60% mentioned above. the others who told me they were coming, i was only going to believe it when they booked – but since they did tell me over and over that they were coming, they were on my “expected list”

I’d be curious to know about this too.  Our wedding is a 2-6 hour drive for our guests, and a lot of them have talked to me about hotels and whatnot.  But how many of them will actually book it?  And how many of our family members that HAD to be invited will make the shlep?  We’re inviting 140 and I’m actually hoping we only have around 100, so we’ll see what happens.

My wedding was a 2 to 3-hour drive for most guests, so it required an overnight stay for most and airline flights for several of my husband’s family members.

I invited 103 and 74 attended. Of the 29 who didn’t show, about a dozen of them had planned to come all along, but at the last minute they declined for various reasons.

I would say we had about 80% of the people we expected (as in told us they were coming verbally when the invitations went out).

We invited 60, but I only expected our immediate families to go. I was right.

We’re having our Destination Wedding in Mexico so we knew most of our guests couldn’t make it. However, we decided to invited everyone anyway so they wouldn’t be offended.

We invited about 70 people. After gauging interest early on, I thought we’d have about 30 guests. We’re still three months out but we’re expecting about 15 people.

We had sent out 60 invitations (almost all couples); were thinking of having about 20-22people max.  12 guests came, the other 10 started by saying yes, then life came in the way.

So, of the ones we were expecting to come, about 50% made it. It was from Canada to PuntaCana.
