peonies and ranunculus are so pretty, so i understand why they’re your top choices! unfortunately, i think peonies are expensive to begin with, and much more expensive during the off-season.  i looked on fiftyflowers.com (a popular and well-reputed wholsesale flower website that many brides use for DIY flowers) to see how much they charge in bulk, and it’s about $600 for 100.  i haven’t looked to see if you can find a place that will sell you less, but it seems like it will still cost $100-200 just for the flowers, not for the labor that goes into making a bouquet. i’m sorry i can’t be of more help on this one!

some other options are making your own bouquet from silk peonies, like mrs. labrador, or finding a substitute flower, like cabbage or garden roses, which are beautiful.

good luck!

I got married on October 10, 2009, and my florist told me the only flowers that were off limits were peonies. I think they’re extremely difficult/expensive to get in October 🙁
