We went to St. Lucia and stayed in the Soufriere area and we were definitely amongst locals and felt like we were immersed in a culture. It was breathtaking!

We are going to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Mexico.  Fiance lived in Mexico abroad for a few months and fell in love with it there.  From what I understand, its not all that touristy

A friend of mine went to Roatan for her honeymoon, and she said if she could do it over again, she’d choose somewhere else.  She said there just wasn’t much to do, and she wasn’t crazy about it.  My fiance and I are going to Fiji – quite a ways off of the beaten path!  We’re staying at the Namale Resort – I am SO excited!

We are thinking of going on an African safari for our honeymoon – that’s off the beaten path! Smile

Dominican Republic!  Its really off the beaten path (roads are bumpy to get to the hotel).  It is touristy as far as people that go there are almost all on honeymoons or anniversaries but it is beautiful and right on the beach.  There are some activites but nothing too touristy.
