Hi ladies,
I lost my pack of BC pills on Friday night (ha. don’t ask how.) and can’t get more until Monday morning. I’m wondering if I need to take 2 extra pills on Monday morning when I get the new pack, or do I simply take 1 at my normal time, as if nothing had happened?
Sorry for posting this in the general area, wasn’t really sure where else it should go.
Thanks.

If I missed two in a row, I’d start spotting and my period would come.
I’d ask the pharmacist when you pick up the new pack. Just to be sure.

Ah, I think I found my answer!
“If you forget to take a birth control pill, take it as soon as you remember. If you don’t remember until the next day, go ahead and take 2 pills that day. If you forget to take your pills for 2 days, take 2 pills the day you remember and 2 pills the next day. You will then be back on schedule.”
We’ll see if that works out! Although I don’t know how that can still work out to be the right number of pills per day. Seems like I would/will have a short cycle this month.

@leafgum: yep, you can find the info for missing up to i belive 3 pills in the package insert. but wear condoms or use other birth control for a week after since your protection was compromised!

I agree with PP, I would use back up protection for at least a week just to be sure.

@leafgum: Every pill is different. When you get them on Monday read the pamphlet and it will tell you what to do. With mine if i miss more than 1 day then i discard them and just take the current day and not go unprotected for the next 7 days until it is back in my system properly.

For mine, if I miss 2 days I need to discard that packet, start a new one, and use back-up for a week. Read the pamphlet that comes with your pills (not clear if that where you got the instructions you posted above?)
