I think “First Day of My Life” by Bright Eyes will be our first dance, and we will probably do some type of send off, and are going to use “Home” by Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros.

I know it may not be “offbeat/indie” but I’m playing Oklahoma Sky for my entrance song.

I want to play Love You Til the End by the Pogues during the reception.

Otis Redding’s That’s How Strong My Love is isn’t so much Indie as it is an Oldie, but it’s super sweet and definitely not like most first dance songs.

crysxcross:  we did “first day of my life” as our entrance song. I’ve been a big bright eyes fan for almost 10 years and always pictured that being my wedding song.

MissLibra:  We are having our first dance to “Cosmic Love” by Florence and the Machine.

For our entrance songs into the reception, one of the ones I really want is “Everlasting Love” by Carl Carlton…don’t know how offbeat/indie that is, but everytime I’ve mentioned it to people, I get a look of “Huh?” Another is “Making My Dreams Come True” by Hall & Oates. <—- We are still somewhat undecided for now.

The bridesmaids are walking down the aisle to “Heartbeats” by Jose Gonzalez.

We are having a lot of Florence and the Machine, The Xx, Arctic Monkeys, Mumford and Sons, Lana Del Rey, Birdy, Ellie Goulding, The Lumineers, and the like playing during cocktail hour and dinner because I’m afraid if we play them during the reception no one would dance.

Father/Daughter dance is going to be “Blackbird” by the Beatles.

We are still in the deciding on many of them.
