It would be a kind gesture to offer to pay for his tuxedo, if you can afford that.  If not, a gift showing your appreciation is appropriate.

Get him an extra-special gift…something a little different than the other GMs.

When my friend got married, her friend (also a friend of the grooms’) officiated. While he covered his own tux, they got him a nice gift basket as a thank you, and it was nicer than the groomsmen’s gifts.
