I’ve been quoted less.

$200 for ceremony and rehersal (it’s just included)

$100 for musicians (I am using people from the church)

$125 for marriage prep offered by the church OR $200 for private marriage councelling recogized by the church

I bet it also has to do with where you are getting married. The city I live in has about 350,000 people.

Our Minister did it all for free.  He required the pre-marital counseling with him, so we would just go meet with him at no charge.  Before we thought of him I had looked up officiants in the area that did not require counseling and they were wanting $125- $350 just to do the ceremony.

Our rabbi was free (we gave a nice donation). But they did tell us that if we didn’t belong to the temple, it would be $400, which included 2 meetings with him and the wedding.

We donated $200 to my pastor, and paid $30 for a test he asked us to take for the premarital counseling.  We had 6 premarital counseling sessions.  It was our pastor tho, so that’s probably a difference.  🙂

Ours was $350 for him to marry us, be there for the rehearsal, and pre-marital counseling for about 6 sessions.

I’ve been getting quotes of $800 & up for an outdoor interfaith ceremony, but I live in NYC and am getting married in Long Island.  I’m definitely not happy w/ these prices though.

Well, since we’re not getting married in a church, we have to find our own premarital counseling. Our officiant is my brother, who is a pastor, but I refuse to have HIM do out counseling.

Anyway, the one we are going to use is a retired pastor and he charges $45 per session. So 4 sessions is $180… I don’t think I could pay $400 for it. Well I could, but I don’t want to.

It sounds about right to me. I paid $350 for my officiant, also in DC, and that was without a rehearsal or counseling.

I live in Jersey and am looking at quotes between $400 and $500 hundred– and I am not sure if that includes being at rehersal, I know they want to meet us, but guess I need to ask more questions!
