I am getting married in Arizona and my fiance’s cousin is an ordained minister in Colorado and we would like for her to marry us. Everything I’ve found just says that for the state of Arizona you can use an ordained minister but I’m wondering if the state they are ordained in matters… Does anyone know or know where I can find this specific information?
Thanks for your help!

Here is what I found on the Arizona State Legislature Website regarding Wedding Officiants and WHO can legally perform a Marriage in that state … it doesn’t elaborate on WHERE an Ordained Minister has to be registered etc… so I suggest you follow up with an email or phone call to double check
Hope this helps,

@This Time Round: That is exactly what I was thinking, but who would I call to ask that kind of question to? Sorry, I’m completely lost on this one. lol

If they aren’t required to be registered with the state/county/city, then it shouldn’t matter what state they’re ere ordained in. But you can contact your clerk’s office in the county where you wyour e maried/file your marriage license to make sure. (Google county name and “clerks office”, and it should give you the website so you can get a phone number).
