We’re getting married in a hotel. An officiant is marrying us.
We’re going to be meeting up with him soon. We sort of know him (he married Future Sister-In-Law and is her husbands, sisters father in law).
When you guys have met with your officiant, did the ask you any questions?
Like “why do you want to get married” and stuff like that?

Most of them do. Depends on the officiant and the church I think. Ours was short and to the point basically do you love eachother? Are you ready for marriage? Why? blah blah and he is our pastor so he wanted to know if we were going to be putting God first and such..

As Bella said, I think it depends on the officiant; what their experience/background is really will denote what questions they may ask…our was a family friend, so he knew us and didn’t have to ask.

We had a few questions like that but since our officiant wasn’t a religious officialy, we didn’t really have a full grilling about why we are getting married.

I usually meet my clients at a nearby Starbucks. Thanks Starbucks/Panera/the Mall for being my satelite office!
The key is to find a place where both parties are comfortable and can ask as many questions as they’d like.
