I am Catholic and my Fiance is not religious at all AND we have decided to get married outdoors…all of these things will not allow us to have a Catholic wedding officiated by a priest (which I’m fine with).
So because of this, I am completely lost as to where we find an officiant. We will be getting married outdoors in Pottstown, PA – does anyone have any recommendations for Non-denominational officiants in the Philadelphia-ish area? Has anyone had a really great experience (or really bad experience so we know who to avoid) that you can share with me? And also if you could give me a general estimate of their fees, that would be great too.
Thanks so much!

I’ve heard great things about Journeys of the Heart: http://www.journeysoftheheart.org/
There’s another one I’m sorry I can’t think of. I’m getting married in an Episcopal Church so I have no idea what they charge. GL

We used Charlie Cooper (http://humblemanweddings.com/) – he was very easy to work with, and super nice. He gave us a standard service that he likes, and we were able to tweak it into our perfect ceremony. Highly recommended!!

Judge William Carpenter (Montgomery County Judge) is a really great guy. He enjoys doing weddings on the side because they are a happy part of his job! You can call his office if you have any questions.

I 2nd Journeys of the Heart….we met with our officiant from them last week and he was very nice, relaxed and made us feel very comfortable. It was like talking with an old friend. And they can perform any kind of ceremony with any traditions that you want to incorporate. There are about 20 different officiants in the group and they have a little bio about them on their website…they are all very friendly. Good Luck.
